Exsist to allow activitys to be undertaken that would be impossible without the structure of an orginisation Organisation are used to direct and control the activites of employees And combine them in a way in order to make a profit Three types of goverance

More effective then alternatives
Offer efficiences compared to alternatives
Increase specialisation and division of labour
Use large-scale technologies (economies of scale and scope) Economise on transaction costs

Managment is a process that invloves planning, orginising, leading and controlling resources to achive goals People managemenet the procees of trying to achive goals in organizations with and through people

Organizational Behavior
Study of behaviour of individuals and groups on organiazatioal context Two distinct features
The combination of many differenent subject that all growth with each other Psychology, sociology, political science, economics, etc
Set out to explain the behaviour of individuals and groups in orginzations Take the shape of models and theories that try to understand the realeationship between variables

Helps to better understand the nautre and behaviour of groups and individuals Provides us with the concepts and toll to understand, predict and within influence and even control individual and group behaviour in organiazatioal contexts

Framework for Organizational Behavior/ Management

Law of unintended consequences – Deliberate actions or changes in any part od an organization can often have implications elsewhere or even throughout the whoe system that where not ancitipated Individual differences – every organiazation and every individual in that is unique Empirical research - verifiable observations that as basis for generating knowledge

Means orianted approach to managment in which it is regarded as a tattionally desigend tool tintended to achive objectives through the co-ordination of social action Political perspectives
