CHAPTER I
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

NAME OF THE BUSINESS
Oh My! Siomai! was chosen as the name of the store for some good reasons. The name is appealing to the target market we aim to cater to. Oh My! Siomai! represents a fast, reliable, and accessible impression to busy people or those who are always on the go – you eat while you go to school or to your work. Our product is different from other existing food outlets in terms of quality, cleanliness, unique taste, nutritious, healthy and affordable. LOCATION

The location of the business is within the vicinity of the University Belt, which only means that we have lots of prospective customers to look up to. The store is situated at the Philippine – Japan Friendship Centre Manila Building located at Ricardo Papa St. Sampaloc, Manila. University Belt primarily Morayta is considerably the busiest street in the vicinity of the store, having several students and employees pass by and various highly visited establishments such as different building of schools, computer shops, gymnasium and many others it is really considered as a factor why we decided to put up this business in that area.

VISION AND MISSION STATEMENTS
Vision: Oh My! Siomai! store envisions itself to be the well-known food-to-go or quick-food-service store in the Philippines that offers a hundred percent customer satisfaction.

Mission: To establish a store that is committed in providing safe, reliable and reasonable price products to the customers as well as to satisfy their respective needs.

COMPANY OBJECTIVES
Short Range:
* To assemble and recruit a team of competent, skilled and experienced employees. * To promote the Filipinos innovativeness on quality siomai food product. * To established good relationships with the customers.

* To meet the consumers satisfaction by providing high quality products and services at reasonable price.

Long Range:
* To be known as the most reliable and top competitive food-to-go store nationwide. * To expand Oh my Siomai! operations after five years in different places in Metro Manila. * To anticipate the changing needs of our customers’ and provide them with great and better service which would satisfy them. * To establish a name after five years specializing on foods such as siomai.

FEASIBILITY CRITERIA

MARKET ASPECT
The business is located at the Philippine – Japan Friendship Centre Manila Building located at Ricardo Papa St. Sampaloc, Manila. It is located in the University Belt. We determine the population of every university situated near the vicinity. From the information given by the Universities, the Far Eastern University has a total population of 29,000 students. A total of 40,000 students are from University of the East and a total of 3,000 students are from the Philippine School of Business Administration. The information given by the Review Centres adjacent to the location of the business totalled a number of 6,000 including those who are reviewing for Nursing, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Architecture, Accountancy and Pharmacy Board Examinations. On our first year of our operation, we projected a total sale of Php1, 693,260 with an increase of 3% annually. Furthermore, the store’s Return of Owner’s Investment shows that the proponents will be able to earn a hundred percent of their investment on the first year of operation.

TECHNICAL ASPECT
Oh My! Siomai! Store will be offering foods that are easy to prepare and quick to eat food particularly siomai. We also have this offer of what we call “Packaged Meal Deal” which we think is very suitable for the target market for most of our customers were students, it is an all-in-one meal that includes any choices of siomai, any choices of rice and a drink particularly an iced tea.
