Obama for President
“It's time to fundamentally change the way that we do business in Washington. To help build a new foundation for the 21st century, we need to reform our government so that it is more efficient, more transparent, and more creative. That will demand new thinking and a new sense of responsibility for every dollar that is spent.” That was one of the strong quotes Barack Obama inspired us with.Obama is a better candidate because his policies would steer America in the right direction and take us away from our darkest times.I support his ideas for education, taxes and economy considering that his policies make more sense than romney’s. Obama’s policies on education fits with the problems that we have today on education. For example students that don’t have enough money to pay for their tuition sometimes don’t go or can’t pay for the school they want to go to.That is a big problem that we have today and Obama suggests that we change laws so that students must repay their loans at only 10% of their income. he believes in federal help for students who can’t afford to pay for the colleges that they want to attend. The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law that was enacted by George W. Bush in 2002 called for a focus on reading and math and it also requires annual standardized test for children in the 3rd to 8th going on to high school, Barack Obama also agrees with it but wants schools to be more flexible on this approach. President Obama additionally wanted to improve early education and that the students should study important subjects such as science, technology engineering and mathematics because these would be useful in the future. The decisions that he makes on education would help educate the future generation of children to help in making america the best country it could be and bring it out of its darkest of times.

Another policy that I agree on with Obama is his policies on taxes. The issue with taxes, people pay taxes on income, payroll,

Mitt Romney has the best on the ground organization, the best fund raising arm, and the best skill set to come across well on camera and on stage. He creates the impression of a strong, decisive leader except its pretty clear that a number of his opponents have been somewhat more successful at creating jobs and running their States. Mitt Romney may appear to be the ultimate candidate but other candidates have proven themselves to be strong leaders and have produced excellent results. The real difference between former Governors Buddy Roemer, Gary Johnson and Mr. Romney is they can't poll above 1% nationally and Mitt Romney has been a front runner from the inception of his campaign. That speaks volumes about Mitt Romney' organizational and leadership skills.…

Voters at the debated asked about citizens being able to get jobs and continuing unemployment. Obama states that he wants a control alternative energy for the future. Give tax cuts for those who invest in U.S. jobs. Romney points out his 5-point plan: Energy independence, more trade, training, a balanced budget, and championing small businesses, which will create 12 million jobs. But Obama rebuttal on Romney’s 5-point plan stating that Romney's 5-point plan is just a 1-point plan make sure those at the top keep getting tax breaks. Another strong question that was brought up was how would “you” keeping Tax Deductions for the middle class? Romney explains the middle income taxpayer will have no taxes on dividends, interest and capital gains if you make $200,000 or less. Obama explains that the middle class has trouble over the past ten years, but “we” have cut taxes on middle class $3,800 and on small businesses 18 times.…

    4. The two presidential candidates have two distinct viewpoints on many different issues including the economy, healthcare, how to fix the deficit and debt, and how to handle immigration. Romney believes that the economy should be fixed through his five point plan; he believes that healthcare should be determined by the states and not the federal government, and he believes in self-deportation to handle illegal immigration.…

While answering this question, candidates identify the current economic problem differently. McCain states that the fundamentals of the economy have no problem and he frames the problem with some abstract terms. He argues that the lack of trust and confidence in the institutions enlarge the problem. The corruption on Wall Street and cronyism and selfish acts in Washington, D.C. diminish the hope of citizens for the future. That is why; America faces one of the worst economic crises in the history. However, Obama does not agree with his approach. He argues that there are basic problems in economy and in order to develop prosperity, the government should help the middle class. Many people have fixed wages and incomes therefore it is difficult to save money and retire. Middle class should get a tax cut about 95 percent, because they are working two jobs and they cannot spend adequate time with their…

His goal is to give everyone an equal opportunity for education. Starting from the very beginning parents should be able to send their children to free, available childcare. America needs universal childcare and prekindergarten programs. These young ages are some of the most important in the development of children and it is essential that all children get the opportunity for it. From then on children should have the opportunity to go through school for free and then be able to get a collage level education for free. College education should not be something only the middle class can attain, then be indebted by for life. After that or for those who don’t go to college it shouldn’t be impossible to get a job. “Youth unemployment rate is off the charts,” and young adults and teenagers need experience so they can easily break into the work force with previous…

I agreed with many of the policies Obama wants to put in place: tax codes, education reform, and clean energy. I sincerely believe that companies should be awarded for having manufacturing centers in the States rather them being outsourced. The policy right now does not make sense, companies outsourcing get tax breaks while companies still at home get taxed heavily. He wants to put a basic minimum tax for multinational companies to protect US…

In 2001, then-president George Bush sought to save the children and reverse poor educational trajectories with what seemed to be a well thought out plan. The ‘No Child Left Behind’ Act would save our youth and close the gap between urban youth and wealthy children and the way they are taught from birth to college. This act would allow all children to receive the education they deserved no matter their race, gender, social class, or US citizenship. Through a standardized test based curriculum, these children would, in theory, have equal opportunity to receive top-notch education by highly qualified teachers in great schools. Higher test scores would lead to increased funding and more resources, thus perpetuating a cycle of change for the better. The very name was held up as an emblem of equality and hope for many poor, immigrant urban or otherwise marginalized children and families, who without this act would be left to fend for themselves in a failing system. No Child Left…

Within the first few moments of the debate, the contrasting tones and styles of both Romney and Obama became clear. Ready and willing to point out the faults in President Obama’s economic plans, the Republican candidate was engaging, full of energy and ready to launch into his detailed and extensive five-point plan aimed towards the revival of the economy. Throughout the course of the 90-minute session, Romney with the aid of his bullet points and passion delivered a well-prepared account of his stances of domestic policy including energy, healthcare, education and tax reform. In contrast, for the majority of the session, President Barack Obama seemed to be surprisingly ill-prepared and even without a clear answer or plan to combat with Romney’s concrete points. Rather than delving into his new and revolutionary ideas on how to kick-start the economy and improve the conditions of America’s workers and families, many times the President’s main rebuttal was his disagreement with the policies put forth by his opponent, yet offering little in…

Abstract: With the 2012 Presidential elections less than one year away, speculations are high on who will be the winning candidate. The Democratic Party’s candidate Barack Obama is the incumbent and has some significant advantages. The Republican Party’s candidate is still unknown and there has not been a clear front-runner.
