Nursing Leadership Philosophy

Being a women leader in today's society is very important to me so I will be marketable and competitive in my career path. Enhancing my leadership skills will broaden my opportunities to be successful in every aspect of my life. John F. Kennedy once said, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” Therefore, in the next four years, I will continue to develop my leadership skills through my college experience of learning to be an outstanding nursing student, growing ideas, and following them all the way through to the end. During this chapter of my life, I will take the leadership approach to obtain the knowledge and be outstanding in my studies so I can achieve my goal of pursuing a nursing degree and being a successful person
I have begun this path by working hard in high school and getting into the college of my choice. I will have to prepare my path, set goals, stay committed, stay focused, have a positive attitude, and strive to do my best. All of these aspects will continue to mold me into the women leader I hope to become in my future. During college, as well as in my remaining high schools days, I will continue to look for leadership opportunities to develop me personally. As a senior in high school, I have taken part in student government where I hold the position of vice president. Being vice president over the senior class has given me opportunity to have a voice in school politics and take part serving my community through community service. I have played sports year round while maintaining my status in the top twenty of my class. I am a lead player on my soccer team and serve as team captain. I have been a cheerleader throughout high school. I have also displayed leadership in my job at Chick-Fil-A. I desired on my own to acquire training in both front and back of the house positions so I would know all aspects of this food
