Nursing Philosophy Of Nursing
As a future nurse, I know that nursing is all about the compassion you show to patients. In order to be a good nurse, one has to understand both the physical and emotional needs of their patients. A good nurse allows their ethics to guide their nursing. My vision of nursing will not only encompass the care I give to patients, but also the care I provide for the community in which I live. Nursing is rooted in public service and the desire to help others. I hope that my philosophy of nursing will incorporate my education, as well as my desire to provide high quality, compassionate care, all while being respectful to each patient I care for.

Nurses’ strive to work for the best outcomes for their patient’s, all while empowering their patient’s to be active in their own care. By educating their patient’s, nurses are promoting wellness. The promotion of wellness can have a positive on the patient and their extended health, as well as the health of the community.
Nurses and other health care providers should create an environment that is conducive to the restoration and promotion of healing. All patients deserve an environment that is safe and promotes both physical and emotional healing. In order to provide the best care, nurses should become familiar with the different cultures and backgrounds in their community. By becoming more knowledgeable about their environment and community, nurses can be more personable and respectful to their patients.
As a nurse, I will challenge myself to continue to expand upon my knowledge and build my nursing skills. Learning is a life-long process in nursing, and this knowledge will allow me to provide the highest standard of nursing care to my patients, their families, and to the community in which I live and work. Each patient is unique and worthy of respect. It is a nurse’s responsibility to be competent and knowledgeable about different races and cultures, and how each can have an effect on health care
