North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Central Asia
To dearest Connor, I hope when this letter reaches you, you are in best of your health and high spirits. I am fine here and the weather here in Texas has completely changed from what you had seen last time. Last month I travelled to North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Central Asia. The life lived by the native people of that country if completely different from what we live. Let me give you a complete idea of that location. Firstly, as you know that North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Central Asia is located near the equator which makes it experience a tropical type of climate. The climate of that place has the major impact on the people living there. Their lifestyle and tradition is based completely on the climate. Since ancient times, the Middle East has attracted migrating peoples. Mixing with the earlier inhabitants of the region, they produced the peoples that make up the Middle East today. They can be classified into three main ethnic groups--Arabs, Turks, and Iranians. There are, in addition, smaller numbers of Kurds, who are scattered across Turkey, Iran, and Iraq; Jews, who live chiefly in Israel; Pakistanis; Armenians; and Greeks, who live mainly on the island nation of Cyprus. Language and religion are basic elements of cultural identity in the Middle East. The major languages of the region, which correspond to the three main ethnic groups, are Arabic, the most widely used language; Turkish; and Persian (or Farsi), the language of the Iranians. Kurdish is related to Persian. The Hebrew spoken in Israel is, like Arabic, a Semitic tongue. Educated people throughout the Middle East frequently speak English or French as well. I had been in Dubai and the people there are friendly and different. The city of Dubai is a highly cosmopolitan society with a diverse and vibrant culture. The Islamic dress code is not compulsory. Most Emirati males prefer to wear a kandura , an ankle-length white shirt woven from wool or cotton, and most Emirati women

Trade was a huge factor for countries all around the world. Specifically in Eurasia, the Silk Road, Mediterranean Sea, and Indian Ocean played a huge role in the region’s success and downfall. The Silk Road was the main land trading system; it stretched from Chinas capital of Chang’an to Rome, Italy and stopped at many major cities. The Mediterranean Sea linked Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and had a large market with a stable currency. Lastly, Indian Ocean trade grew after the fall of classical Rome and China, because of the decline of overland routes. There are many continuities, such as religion and products, along with changes, such as Mongol invasions, diseases, and technology, in Eurasia from 600 C.E. to 1450…

The Middle Eastern society is greatly effected by their religion since their religious backgrounds are so strong having an effect on their every day life. The Middle East is also effected literature, and the treatment of women and the discovery of oil. Literature was effected greatly by Islam because Muslims regarded the Koran (book of Islam) to be their greatest literary work. Poetry has also been a big part of the Middle Eastern life. It extolled Bedouin tribal life, courage in battle, hunting, sports, and respecting animals of the desert, especially the camel. The camel has always been highly respected in the Middle East mostly because it helped benefit trade and labor. Poetry will continue to be a…

I’m writing this letter to you to inform and update you on my life. However I first wanted to address what happened in Kabul. I'm sorry Hassan. I'm so sorry for everything. However I don't want to dwell on that too much, I just pray that you'll forgive me for all the wrong doing I have done. I know it won't help much, because you're so pure and kind, but Kamal was raped, and he died on the way out of Kabul. On to a more positive subject, life in America has been such an adjustment for Baba, but it has truly been amazing. I went to the ocean and it was even more marvelous than in the movies, oh how I wished you were with me. The ocean is so blue and beautiful, I think I might've even seen a whale. I completed high school and I'm now enrolled in college for creative writing.…
