NHS ESSAY
I will be a great addition to National Honor Society because over the years of growing up I believe I have shown actions of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. I would like to be more engaged at school by performing different service projects as well as hours in helping out our community. As an international student at DCIS, I’ve learned valuable knowledge and experienced different cultural diversity throughout the years. This has helped me to become an independent and responsible individual. I demonstrate scholarship by striving myself to work harder and to excel in school with big goals and achievements in order to be successful. I always push myself to go for bigger and better things; no matter what obstacles I might face, even if that means trying new things that I’m afraid of. I am a very responsible person when it comes to my work ethic, and always getting things done either on time or in advance and I am determined to achieve the goals that I have set for myself. When it comes to demonstrating leadership, I can lead people and motivate them to reach for goals that they might think were beyond them. I wanted them to accomplish more than they thought was possible and to do it not because they need to but also for the fun of it. I am a very good role model for the younger kids, especially middle schools kids, at DCIS. Service is one of the things I love to do because I love helping people and volunteering. I volunteer every Sunday for four hours at the Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Parish where I help kids to learn more about God and at the same time gain spiritual guidance. I help plan and coordinate activities and events for the kids to make their learning as fun as possible as well as making them more enthusiastic to go to Sunday school. I enjoy volunteering because it helps me become more diverse than what I already am and to meet new people. Character is someone that everyone admires and sets good examples and to me there are no

Leadership… I always try my best to obtain as many leadership positions as possible, of course, with the assurance that I can handle them all. I can always be critical and say it's pretty obvious I have leadership qualities just because I'm class president, but as a leader I try not to think of it as just a title. A leader should be one that is more constructive and less critical. A critical person may think there has got to be a better way to do something, but a constructive person knows what that "Better way" might be. A leader can best be described as, responsible, successful, and resourceful. When it comes to showing good leadership I think I can truly live up to it, because of the positions I uphold.…

I have always identified with nursing. Ever since I was a small child, I have been keenly interested in this field. Now as an adult, I can envision myself stepping into the role of becoming a nurse. Why? Because it is in my nature to seek out people needing help and those who know me well describe me as nurturing and caring. Throughout high school and my 2 years of college thus far, I have been credited with being that person younger students looked to for guidance and direction, and it is also part of what I did in my previous major of theater management.…

The United States health care system is multifaceted because the system is characterized by a variety of aspects. The system involves monitoring the services for social agencies. This process again involves a wide range of services because it allows many social workers to coordinate their efforts. Many people argue that the multifaceted nature of health care system takes into account high expenditures or the high costs of providing health care facilities. Health care is financed in the U.S through various programs. Financing in the U.S is entirely different than other countries. This difference is due to the fact that the U.S does not have a national health insurance plan, such as in Canada. Government programs, self-insured plans, and insurance companies are some of the payers involved in financing process (Toema, 1). The U.S does not have a national insurance plan for its citizens like other countries, but it has various public programs for the benefit of the poor, disabled and elderly people.…
