My View on Couchsurfing
My view on Couchsurfing
I have heard of Couchsurfing a long time ago, but I wasn’t so bold so I have never tried it. As I knew more about Couchsurfing, I found it an excellent way of traveling around the world by sleeping on other people’s couches. And I really want to actually try it.

To my way of thinking, CS has many advantages. To begin with, it is cheaper than the traditional ways of travel. In our youth, we usually want more experiences and adventures. But as college students, we don’t have much budget for our travel. Luckily, we can choose CS. We sleep at the hosts’ couches (sometimes they’ll provide a bed), and it is totally free of charge. Thus we can go to the places we never thought we could afford to. Furthermore, CS can not only broaden one’s horizon by travel but also it contributes to let one makes more friends from all over the world by chatting with them. It is mutual, and both the travelers and the hosts can benefit from it. They get to know people in other parts of the world and many different cultures. Moreover, CS is a true social network; it is real and it provides us a platform to understand the true spirit of travel --- that is to connect with nature and the people there and share.

It is no doubt that every coin has two sides; CS is no exception. It also has disadvantages. The most concerned problem is safety. As we know, there are creeps and weirdoes in the world. With the development of CS, many people get to know it, among which there would probably be some people who have ulterior motives and want to take advantage of it for some illegal purposes. Therefore, there could be some robbers, rapists, murderers, pretended to be hosts or travelers to commit crimes. But nothing is perfectly safe. Even when we walk on the street, we can be hit by a car. So, should we stay at home forever and never go outside? No, we just need to know how to protect ourselves and then we will be great.

There are few steps to protect ourselves and keep us

The first advantage I'm going to discuss is social. Young teens crave social experiences, that's how they learn morals and more about themselves and others. Begin your apartment search by obtaining local newspapers from the area that you have chosen to live in. You may need to contact the property owner to send you pictures of the property if possible. If no pictures are available get the property address and drive by to see if you would be interested in it. While on the phone with the property owners ask what commodities the apartment comes with and how much the rent is. You can also use a variety of online search engines such as rent.com and renters.com or you can power point search the town classifieds to obtain various listings. The first reason I believe that online dating is not a good choice is safety. If you really think about it, you never really know who you are actually talking to on these sites. Not everyone who is on these sites are honest people. Even though a profile may say one thing, it does not nesseccarily mean that it is the truth. There are several types of people who frequent these sites and could be the person you are actually talking to. Many men and women who are unhappy in their marriage frequent these sites because there is less chance of their spouse finding out. Another type of person that studies have shown often frequent dating sites are con artists. They are known to “sweet talk” you out of lots of money by making you fall for them.…

With the high development of technology, including smart phones, tablets, cloud computing, computers, etc., human beings nowadays benefit a lot from them without a doubt. Technology not only makes our lives more convenient but changes the ways that people used to interact with others and live their lives. Nonetheless, there are several potential risks and dangers when people only work and socialize with the internet or computer screens. Mankind may become more and more indifferent toward others. With the high convenience of the internet, for instance, online-shopping is getting popular, people almost could fulfill all their needs via computers, and therefore they do not have to get out of their houses anymore. What they really need to do is only several clicks on the screens. The lack of meeting others, or knowing new friends, people might be getting used to merely caring those who they often keep in touch and their selves things. In addition, website criminals might grow rampantly while people depend on the computers too much. For example, those online transactions, social networks, or cloud computing drives which require users leaving their personal information might be in the risk of being stolen by hacker attack. Furthermore, there are also some criminals getting advantage of being able to hide their true identity on the website to do some illegal activities, such as sexual harassments, advertising spam, or even fraud. As a result, the safety of our society might be influenced massively. There is no denying that the innovation of technology and computers makes communication easier in modern society. Some people say the evolution of computer and internet conquer the geographic barriers and let information flow could be passed immediately, improving our living standards; however, it does reduce the chance of people’s face-to-face contact and outdoor activities, which causes people to lose their capability of interacting with others and even feel awkward in the…
