My Understanding Of The Teaching Role And Responsibilities
My understanding of the Teaching role, is to ensure that the students you are teaching are actively involved in the lesson,(Ann Gravell 2014 pg 1) this can be best put into place by using the teaching cycle

Identifying Needs I am quite lucky in my role as I am able to talk to the student at the initial assessment stage, from there we can develop an Individual Learning Plan, and if necessary do diagnostic assessmentsand using the VAK( visual, Audio,Kenetic)assessments to see how they intake and hold information. I can also using this information match there needs to the courses we provide.

Planning Learning When we are presented with a new course to deliver, we have to ensure that our course matches the requirements of the accreditation, this may be designing power points, forming lesson plans,, ensuring we have the right equipment and resources to deliver.

Facilitating Learning I use a different amount of teaching styles to help in the course, and it depends on the group I am teaching, if I feel I am not getting through to them or their attention is waning I will change style to something that hopefully has them learning.

Assessing Learning we assess learning by using ,quizzes, Q&A also the forms we use have feedback sheets and by having successful pass rates on our accredited courses. We also have a pre and post assessment on a 1 to 1 basis to identify the need for the course and the post will give me a chance to speak to the learner to note how they felt during and after the course, if they thought it would benefit them.

Evaluating Learning
I have a habit of self evaluating my work, After every course I see how I could have done things differently, or was that the best approach Responsibilities

My responsibilities are to ensure that my class is free from any sort of discrimination and that we provide a safe and secure learning environment as I have a duty of care to all my learners,
Students should have clear ground rules to start
I have to keep

Is it my responsibility as a teacher to identify the needs of my learners and what is the most effective way for them to learn. To do this I need to find out as much as I can about them in the first stage of the teaching and learning cycle (identifying needs & planning) if they require any additional aids in class, if they have any disabilities such as ADHD, autism or dyslexia, what current level of skills and knowledge they have. I would, if possible, find this information out prior to the class commencing and discuss with the learners any ways in which I can assist them, I could then prepare an individual lesson plan for the leaner. It is my responsibility to make sure I have set the right programme for my learners, that they won’t find assignments to hard or above their current levels of knowledge. I also need to make sure that I follow…

At the delivery stage, Aims, objectives and learning outcomes of sessions would be discussed at beginning of class. I would recognise and endeavour to remember that things might not always work out as planned due to unforeseen circumstances. I would be flexible and ready to change my plans to suit the situation. I assume nothing. Assumptions can create barriers to me engaging my earners, which is one of my goals. I would ensure that I dress properly and carry myself professionally. I would get to know my student so that I can pick up things like an active student suddenly quiet- has anything happened, does the person require help, who can I direct them to bearing in mind…

As a teacher, one of my main roles is to motivate my learners, to develop their ability to learn also to develop my learner’s aspiration to learn. When you train to teach you read about delivering training and how to facilitating learning, but in reality you do much more than that, your role as a teacher is not just about teaching your subject or preparing learners for assessment. The focus of your role as a teacher I feel relates very much to inspiring your learners to change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their ability. My ultimate aim is to enable my learners to understand how to take responsibility for their own development. I would do this by planning and preparing teaching and learning activities that take account of the needs and well-being of individual learners as well as groups of learners.…
