Jennifer has always been a straight A student. She attended Coasta Mesa High, in Nevada. At age 16, Jennifer ran away from home, because of her step-father. However, my client, did go back to school at age 32, to get her GED. Later, she went to beauty school, where she is a licensed beauty specialist. At age 34, my client went to the police academy to become a correction officer, which she later medically retired from. Jennifer reported that being a correction officer was a very stable career for her. And if she had the chance, she would return. At age 48, my client went back to college. She currently attends Colorado Mesa University, where she is studying to become a Social Worker

She uses these traits as a guidance to daily decision making. My client reported that, she is the glue to her family. That she is always there when they need her. Everyone is faced with daily stress. My client uses smoking as one of her coping skills and hopes to stop smoking before she returns to Nevada to visit. She also loves to take bubble baths as self-care activity. On her spare time, Jennifer takes walks as another stress reliever.
I have noticed a lot about Jennifer as I was interviewing her. I realized that she is very relax when it comes to talking about her struggles in life. She uses her family has her number one support and I believe that her family loves that she is still around. I also noticed that she doesn’t let one little thing stop her from reaching for the stars. She also gave me some great tips on how to go about life. Jennifer is a unique person; she is just so understanding. Jennifer’s personality is warm and welcoming. She will definably be a great Social Worker and I hope does accomplish that goals in

She has a history of drug abuse in her own family, her parents were abused as children, and her brother committed suicide. All of these qualities of her family related to her job and keep her motivated. Additionally, these qualities have given her a caregiver mentality which can work well with her job. My favorite quote from her about why she likes social work is “the brain is the only thing that tries to understand itself”. She wants to eventually teach or have a private practice with her social work degree. She doesn’t like how much paperwork social work includes because she has to complete paperwork on every secession and every person. She said that her profession doesn’t focus enough on the mental health of their workers especially considering they work with mental health. Her profession is too stressful without any way to release the stress which is hard on her and her coworkers. Her biggest deal breaker of her job is that she refuses to work with people who don’t like animals, kids, or are manic. She makes her job easier by working out or laying at in the field. She has her own personal therapist to help her deal with the stresses of being a social worker. (Bowman, K.…

Choosing a career is a very important aspect to people 's lives. One goes to college, usually around the age of eighteen, and by the time they leave they are expected to have decided on the career that they will have for the rest of their lives. Being a psychology and interpersonal communication major, I have always had an interest on relationships between individuals given certain stimuli presented to them. I want to have the ability to touch people 's lives by helping them understand themselves and why they behave the way in which they behave. Relationships are such an important aspect to the process of human growth, and they impact each and every one of us. Due to this assessment of myself, I have decided to go to Western Michigan University to pursue my goals of being a clinical social worker.…
