Katie Rumble Case Study

Katie Rumble, RN practices nursing at UAB’s Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. Her clinical role prioritizes safety and effective coping to prepare adolescents for stressors and to prevent re-hospitalization. Katie maintains certification in Crisis Prevention to safely deescalate patients experiencing emotional distress.
Prior to pursuing a career in nursing, Katie received a BS in Psychology from UAB. Her initial involvement was serving individuals recovering from substance abuse.
