My Political Views
In today’s society, cheating, lying, and scandal is all part of everyday life, as is covering up cheating, lies, and scandals, so it is no surprise that these qualities are also extremely present in the government. The government spends too much time and money looking for criminals and arresting them for white collar crimes, than preventing the temptation to commit these crimes. In this sense, the government is corrupt, hiding their countries’ problems rather than preventing them. They spend more time looking for people cheating their taxes than attempting to figure out why it is these people find it so necessary to save money that they are willing to commit a crime to do so. Are these people not earning enough money? In which case the government could fix this issue and contact the employer to ensure that the workers are being paid reasonably. Or are these people simply copies of their governments’ main quality: corrupt. Rather than spending time looking for these people to arrest them and not resolve anything, the government should spend time preventing people from the desire to cheat and steal. I believe that governments’ priorities are improperly ordered. With concern to political parties, I am most defiantly not republican. I think that their views are far too extreme and in some cases, insensitive. For example, republicans believe that abortion should be completely illegal; I know that abortion is a very controversial topic, however I am very pro-choice. For this reason I know that I am not Republican, in some cases, I would say that abortion is unnecessary, of course, however when it is a case of rape, or someone under the age of consent, I believe it is in everyone’s best interest to allow the girl to make her own choice. Another issue that I do not agree with the republican opinion on is medical marijuana. I believe that if someone is terminally sick or in extreme pain and they find something not very harmful that helps them feel better,

Some of the things that I agree with on the republican side is their stance on abortion and gun control. I agree that things such as Planned Parenthood should be shut down. I feel as if a person should not be able to abort a baby just because they want to. There are better options such as adoption, for people to turn to rather than just getting rid of a baby…

In the above situation the law tries to balance between the need to protect the workers and the fact that the jobs they chose are inherently dangerous. Where there may be criminal liability is not for the government directly but for the government agents who make decisions or furnish reports upon which decisions and policy are made that are flawed and deliberately hide facts. There you have criminal acts of an individual for fraud, bribery, and abuse of power. It is the job of the criminologist to find out what the problem is and how can we fix it in order for this type of situation to prevent it from happening again. It is in the best interest of the accused to have their problems…

Over the course of the past few days, I have been paying close attention to my opinions regarding certain political topics. As a whole, I have discovered that I do not possess strong liberal or strong conservative viewpoints. For the most part, I am in between: not strongly associating with either side. However, there were a few statements that caught my attention and triggered my thought process.…

The Republican Party has over 55 million registered voters, comprising of over thirty percent of the United States population. Of course, it is impossible to form a party so that everyone fits, I think that the Republican Party does a fairly well job in creating a mold that includes thirty percent of the United States and I am a part and support and agree, to an extent, their ideas and platform. Some of the Republican Party’s stances on popular debates that I support are as follows: opposes gun control, opposes government regulated healthcare, and supports lower taxes.…

The political party that I identify with the most is the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party believes that the Federal government should be more involved in assisting with welfare programs for the needy. Furthermore, the federal government should be more involved in regulating and protecting our environment. Just as I feel, Democrats believe that there should be economic equality among the countries citizens. Moreover, democratic are working towards expanding social security, increasing the federal minimum wage, and expanding education just to name a few goals of the Democratic Party concerning their economic policy. Their social policy is that voting rights should be upheld, same sex marriages should have the same rights as traditional marriages, and improve privacy laws to reduce government surveillance on its citizens. Moreover, their goals include the equal rights of individuals with disabilities, promoting arts and culture, taking better care…

In the textbook, American Political Culture is described as the extensive communal opinions, standards, and morals citizens have in correlation with the government, as well as in relation with each other. One of the contributing factors that make the culture that way is suffrage, which is the right to vote. For example, our thoughts in suffrage went from the belief that white men who own property are allowed to vote to all citizens who are adults, besides criminals in some cases, have that right. Another reason for this would be deliberation, which is the procedure where administrators or people gather to converse and contemplate public issues, along with social capital, which is democratic and municipal series of debating, agreement, and regard for contrast, which derives from involvement in optional groups. An example that represents these overlapping ideas is political campaigning because of their extensive use in internet that allows people to interact with each other on their thoughts.…

My political belief doesn’t really come from my family maybe so from what my dad might have said once or twice, but everything else comes from my knowledge and research. When it comes to the American politics it’s all out of proportion to me how everything is processed, it is also a little fishy and that makes me question the election and the way the government uses our tax money. When it comes to a political party I would say that I am ninety-five percent a democrat based on the position the party takes on certain issue or policies.…

Upon completion of the political ideology quiz, my responses came in comparison of those which were identified as a centrist- with a personal score of 42%, while having an economic score of 52%, the label assigned shows a level of indecisiveness, or possibly a desire for mixing ideologies to achieve a beneficial outcome. On the ideology of my Representative, Lamar Smith, a Republican from District 21, my political ideas are moderate with a comparison to his hard-core Republican philosophy. Such noticeable disparities in regards to position can be found on the topic "social issues" such as abortion that elicit a message from the representative, put “women do not have the right to an abortion, it is morally incorrect and ethically flawed to allow…

    My Ethical Beliefs

As I sat down to write this paper, I really struggled to get it started with this definition. It is one of those things that if spoken about, you know what it is, but the minute you are asked to break it down, the task is not easy. I guess I will begin by saying that ethics is what is generally accepted as right, or correct. Even though ethics are usually use simultaneously with morals, I think morals are more inherited and personal while ethics are what the majority of people in one culture deem to be ethical. In a way, ethics are like a set of rules that govern human behaviors and serve as a basis for right conduct principles.…
