My Personal Code Of Ethics

According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, ethics is defined as “moral principles that govern a person’s behavior.” Hence, in a perfect world, ethics ought to play the ultimate role when it comes to decision making. Ethics is a subject that has been very difficult to define or classify. Everyone has their own idea or belief of what is right and wrong, but there are some behaviors that everyone can agree is ethical or unethical. Society, religion and family is what molded and shaped me to recognize or decipher between what is considered unacceptable and acceptable behavior. Past experiences and lessons learned contribute to my personal code of ethics that I’ve created.
Love, respect, faithfulness, honesty, family, loyalty, responsibility, happiness and ambition are all values that play a part of who I am. My actions or decisions that I make daily can affect not only myself but my son who now gives me purpose and reason to walk a straight line in life, knowing that I or anyone else is not perfect but I am who controls my destiny to achieve happiness and live a fulfilled life, which leads to the first code.
According to The Universal Element of Choice all actions have consequences, and every consequence has effects which also has consequences. I only want to do what is good and morally right because one wrong decision could greatly affect my life, my son and my family. I will put my family above all things. My family is filled with nothing but love and I know without them, I’d be nothing. They introduced to me what love is by their actions without needing a true meaning or definition. I am blessed to be a part of a family that loves one another more than words can ever attempt to explain, and because I know that I am a priority to them, they are a top priority for
