Personal Code Of Ethics
Life is about learning from mistakes, experiences, and other people. When you step back and evaluate situations in life you can learn more about yourself and grow as a person. There have many numerous lessons I have learned in my lifetime that have shaped my personal values and ethics. My family, friends, education, and experiences all play a role in developing my personal code of ethics. The purpose of my personal code of ethics is to remind myself daily of what I believe in and what I stand for as a person. My code of ethics will help me remember my personal values and inspire me to be a better person overall. I believe in the act of giving to others rather than holding onto things for us. I believe that when we give to others we become stronger and sometimes benefit more than the person receiving. I stand by the saying “nobody ever went broke from giving.” I will incorporate positivity and the act of giving into my …show more content…
I grew up seeing my brother struggle in school and feel like he would never make it past the high school level. This taught me that people need to be encouraged because sometimes they do not believe in themselves. I will incorporate this into my every day life. I will encourage strangers and loved ones to reach for their goals even when they feel like they are incapable. I will do what it takes to push someone towards their dream and remind them that I believe they will succeed. I believe in honesty. I stand by the saying “Being honest never hurts anyone. Being a liar only hurts you.” When I have lied in the past I feel a sense of guilt and shame. I now strive to be honesty in all occasions of my life. Being honest sometimes seems like the more difficult thing to do and lying may be easier but in the long run it feels better to know you told the truth. I am honest. Telling the truth can be hard for people to do but not me. Telling the truth can be hard for people to hear. But it is the only way for us to better ourselves or to move past an event in our lives. I have seen the affects growing up of how my father lied to my mother and the damage that is can cause. Honesty allows us to build trust which is such an important bond that we build with our family, friends and even total strangers. As I am getting older I am realizing that honest is always the best policy but it matters on how you deliver the honesty.…

My ethical perspective lens rights and responsibilities; I tend to use reasoning skills to determine duties as well as universal rules that each person should follow. I found your personal point of views about ethics easy to connect with. I too believe that it applies to our everyday life, whether it be at work, home, standing at the checkout line at a local grocery store and so much more. After reading our text material, it convinced me to believe that the study of ethics allows us to better understand those around us, from an outsiders perspective. It doesn't always mean, we will agree but it does allow us to morally make an ethical decision on how to react to a situation.…

My personal code of ethics is Equality and Sensibility. I believe in a predictable system that assures the well-being of all, especially those without power, is a just system. As a wife, mother, nurse and a member of a community, I strive to do the best I can in every aspect of my life. As a mother, I strive to be a good role model to my children and teach them the fundamentals of life. I strive to be able to give a solid foundation and an easy path to life whether it be school, finding who they want to be as they grow older and for a productive future. As a nurse, I strive for equality of care for every patient and to be able to be their voice when they are not able to speak for themselves. As a member of the community, I strive to lend a hand for the needy and helpless. I speak for and ask help for them i.e. my neighbor, who leaves alone and has no family to be by her side.…

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AIPCA) stress the need for their members to follow a code of ethics. The AICPA code is the primary source of guidance for those that practice public accounting while the IMA is concerned with a broader role for accounts and financial professionals that work inside the companies. There are likenesses and there are variances between the two but the main objective is to set professional standards for all types of accounting.…

I believe in honesty. Webster’s Dictionary says that the definition of honesty is freedom from deceit or fraud. I believe that being honest all the time will never require you to lie. Honesty shows that you are genuine and transparent in your actions. I believe when speaking the truth you will never be “caught in a lie”. When you are an honest person, people trust you and when people trust you, you earn others respect. I believe that if you are honest you will be a much happier person and you will not feel the guilt associated with lying. My mother always taught me not to lie because the truth will eventually catch up to you. Being honest also builds character. Other people enjoy being around others who are honest with them. Honesty expresses both self-respect and respect for others. I believe that being honest is important because…
