My Basketball Book
The first book that I decided to check out and read was My Basketball Book, by Gail Bibbons. This children’s book is about exactly what comes to mind when reading the title. This book demonstrates as well as illustrates the fundamentals, rules, and overall goal of the game of basketball. My Basketball Book takes a child step by step through what they need to know about the structure of the game and how it is to be played by explaining it through words and pictures. First and foremost, the reason I chose this book was because basketball was my favorite sport growing up. This was one of my choices because I was interested to see how it is explained and if a child of a younger age would be able to grasp the concepts. Overall, I was impressed
