    Dr Fay Letters Monologue

OVERALL IMPRESSION: It is a really well crafted story that grabs my attention from beginning all the way to the end. You don’t give any time for the “viewers” to be bored as we are thrown right into the thick of things from the get go, first the surgery of Freeman and a few scenes after she’s in the war. I also believe that you created a living breathing world of the war, or more specifically the hospital in the war. The way the injured soldiers react to Dr. Murdoch all contribute to the feeling of the world. You could maybe possibly cut to what’s going on in the actual war, and show how the soldiers get injured? I think that will add just another level to this already brilliant story, but not really necessary.…

Probably not, but guess what you’re going to get it anyway. It will probably surprise you that it isn’t them treating Sam like a supporting character (and destroying his character) or the fact that I couldn’t care less about the Lucifer baby story line at all. Like I honestly care about it less than I did about Amara and I hated that story line.…

Stage directions – Upon arriving in his new office in Australia. Frank is wearing shorts, a short sleeved shirt and a handkerchief with tied corners on his head looking every inch the out of place, quintessential British man on holiday, slightly sweaty and flustered from the Australian heat. The study is small and untidy but quite reminiscent of his office back in England. Frank starts to unpack his belongings, putting books into shelves, he starts smiling oddly at a new copy of Roger McGough's poems, he opens the book and reads the inscription aloud;…

That morning I was scared and devastated to go back to that shop Milwards that day. Although father forced me he still doesn’t believe what he’s done while I was going to the shop people kept on talking quietly but I knew they were talking behind my back as it was just obvious. I was shocked as father didn’t want the matter to go out in public due to his reputation and his honour. I was ashamed to be walking in the street that morning but I had learnt my lesson which other people didn’t know. I was in the shop and suddenly I had a flashback I can just remember. The previous summer was quite strange as I was very suspicious that day as I felt Gerald’s s absence. During this time I felt he must been having a affair, I couldn’t suspect anything else due to the fact of his absence. I can remember that very night when the inspector came home, inspector Goole he seemed a bit curious at first and said we had killed this girl called Eva smith I didn’t really recognize that girl or heard her name before. I was astonished to know father had something to do with this.…

I think to myself, there is nothing to be afraid of, they have no solid evidence and I’ll be alright. Although, when they let me go the other night, I felt a rush of guilt as I left the station. I feel good now, but I know I have to finish what I had started. I packed my bag, printed off the flight ticket and picked up the matches. I stepped out of the door, and had one last peak of my mother’s house, which had been the only place where I was able to be myself. Many memories have been discovered in this comforting home, but I know this is what I have to do. I ignite the match, and place it on the carpet. I continue down the driveway, and as I have one last glance back, I shed a tear as I discover the terrifying roar as the house bursts into flames.…
