Dear Sir/Madam
My name is Adane Wubet Gietahun, I have studied Animal science at college of Alage Agricultural college from 2004-2007 and acquired Diploma of Animal Science. During three year college stay imparted plenty of animal science know ledge including, Poultry, Beekeeping, Dairy farm, Pig production, Fishery, Animal nutrition, Forage production, Sheep and Goat. Currently, I am employed in Sekota Dry land Agricultural Research Centre in the field of Agriculture particularly in animal Science as small ruminant, beekeeping and Poultry research program Technical Assistance. Sekota Dry land Agricultural Research Centre is the young and newly established Dry land Agricultural Research Centre, which carries activities aiming to solve deep rooted agricultural problems by conducting research. The centre have not equipped library, experienced researchers and enough reading materials to get new ideas and enough work experience, to work the best. I would like to apply for the course of international Diploma Poultry Husbandry, because Poultry is one of our centre research programs in the area and I am working as a technical assistance in Poultry research program, but I am unable to intervene in this regard due to lack of skill and work experience. Because of this I am very interesting and exciting to train in your institution to gain better skills and work experience in my field of study and my career. Thank you in advance for considering my motivation.

With Kind Regards,
Adane Wubet Gietahun

Relevancy to my Organization
The newly established Sekota Agricultural Research Centre, Dry land Agricultural Research Centre under the Amhara Region Agricultural Research Institute /ARARI/, located in the most Northern and Dry land parts of the Amhara Regional State, in which I am currently working as a technical assistance in Live stock Technology Supply Directorate of Small Ruminant, Beekeeping and poultry research program. But I am unable to intervene the best in this regard due to lack of skill and work experience, the centre is intended to give prior attention to the improvement of poultry potentials of the region in particular and country as a whole. The regional and national governments have given great emphasis to specialize the area in small ruminants, beekeeping and poultry improvement programs which is ready to be utilized. The research on poultry improvement has been done so far in the country but yet in the area. Nevertheless, the research undertaken that are expected to solve the problems of the state as a whole and the area in particular are still at its infant stage. This is to mean that the programs are focusing only in the identification of major poultry problems, looking for different strategies and adopting them to boost the sector and the like. With Kind Regards,

Relevancy for my country
As you know my country Ethiopia is one of developing country in the world, its economy is highly dependent upon traditional agriculture, has taken a development trend that puts the alleviation of poverty and the enhancement of the livelihoods of the people as its primary target. The Five year Growth and Transformation Plan /GTP/ to end poverty has made it clear that can be achieved through accelerated agricultural growth. Hence economic development is the primary focus, the forerunner being agricultural transformation that ended to be supported by all in order to bring the eradication of poverty ones and for all. However the country has a great shortage of skilled man power for the struggle against poverty sufficiently in such technical enquiries. In spite of this, its economy doesn’t grow sufficiently....
