Dear Sirs.

I am interested in applying for volunteer work at your Animal Rescue projects. I saw that jobs were available at your center in the local news paper in South Africa. I've always cared about animals since I was little so therefore I feel that I need to give you a helping hand in your project animal rescue.

When i went to college, I went to an vetrinarian line so I got plenty of experience on how to treat and how to socialize with diffrent kinds of animals. I have also received training in construction so I can also help with building fences etc. So the different animals can have their own sanctuary, which is important.

I think that this job would fit me very well, I have the experience needed and i have worked a lot with animals and as a mentioned, construction. Animals are my passion and taking care of them is a must. Being a part of part of this project would be a growing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I think that this volunteer work will make me grow as a individual but also give me more experience that will help me later in life.

To end this letter, I want to ask a couple of questions about the project. The information did not tell for how long the work period is. I hope that you will contact me so you can answer this question for me. My contact information is following, number: 0764692355 or my email: Kevin-Kristoffersson@hotmail.com. I’m allways contactable.
I really hope that I will hear from you!

Yours Sincerely, Elif Jalour.

This included bathing and grooming animals, feeding and watering the animals, and giving any necessary medications. At my clinic, the kennel technicians also helped assist the veterinarians and technicians during procedures and exams. These responsibilities included helping restrain animals, give vaccinations, run blood panels, and run fecal examinations. Also when we were shorthanded I was a receptionist. This mostly included answer phone calls, checking in and out clients, and help answer any of the clients’ questions.…

If we had to pursue one of the first ten occupations we had ever imagined being as a child then I can guarantee you that I Veterinary Assistant wouldn’t have made the cut. As a child I was allergic to cats and afraid of most animals. With time I grew out of my allergies and became exposed to more animals to reduce the fear. My kid I only owned fish and frogs, and you can’t exactly do much with either of those animals so all I knew were caged animals at the zoo and my house.…

I volunteered at Texas Humane Heroes, a local animal welfare organization that gives a homeless dog or cat a chance of finding home. It is a nonprofit organization that benefits from the involvement of volunteers. This was a very unique experience because I got to work with a lot of different volunteers and staff members. There were different volunteering opportunities from foster volunteering to helping out around the place. I helped around the place with other volunteers. We cleaned the dog and cat cages and washed their bowls. It wasn’t fun to pick up their waste, but we got to play with the puppies and the kittens. We also had to greet customers and inform them about the cats and the dogs that they had up there. In the afternoon, we had to walk the dogs. So many volunteers and I, took the dogs out.…

A veterinarian is one who is qualified and authorized to treat diseases and injuries of animals. Veterinarians are employed by wildlife preserves, animals parks, zoos, and aquatic installations. The federal, state and city governments see veterinarians in the research and their treatments of animals who have diseases that can spread to humans, or who have been neglected, abused, or more. Veterinary training includes two to four years at an approved college of veterinary medicine, training, etc. A licensing examination has to be passed before they even practice veterinary medicine. There are about twenty-one veterinary colleges in the United States. About 1,400 people graduate from these colleges. Everybody has come into contact with an animal at one point or another in their life. Whether it is a family’s dog that wanders curiously around the house or a cat brushing up against the cage begging to be adopted at the pet store. Most people take these encounters for granted. They do not see the potential these animals could have and could one day turn somebody’s life around. Animals play a huge role in many people’s lives through animal-assisted therapy and animal-assisted activities. According to Amy Johnson, an author in the Encyclopedia of Nursing Research, Animal-assisted therapy, also known as AAT, is defined by the Delta Society as “a goal-directed intervention by a health or human service professional that uses animals to achieve specified goals and objectives through measured progress”. AAT and animal-assisted activities, AAA, are sometimes inappropriately said to be the same practice. The difference between the two lies in the absence of predetermined treatment goals and inconsistent practice in animal assisted activities (Johnson).…
