Chalmers University of Technology, MSc. programme in Software Engineering, Autumn 2012

From the day I decided to take a MSc. degree, my sole intention was to strengthen my knowledge and skills in architectural designs and requirements in software systems, planning and managing software projects. If I connect all discrete fractions of my research attentions, I can figure out that it is Software Engineering where my desire, concern and passion are combined together into a course of stream. And, this is why I have chosen Software Engineering as the major of my intended programme.

Swedish education-system attracts me as it provides high quality education and top-class research opportunity. I had been looking for a suitable programme that could satisfy my thirst for knowledge for research and found a perfect match with the Software Engineering programme offered by Chalmers University of Technology. Offered courses like, Requirement Engineering, Empirical Software Engineering, Software Architecture lured me to apply here. A well designed programme, large number of highly qualified research personnel, variety in research divisions and research facilities also influenced me to choose my intended programme in this university. And, the perfect study environment with large number of international students was a bonus to make this decision.

With secondary and higher secondary studies with first-rate backgrounds, I attended Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology in a hope to get my first degree in Computer Science & Engineering which had been my childhood dream. Holding of a 1st class 3rd position at the end of the programme confirmed the rightness of the decision and I found myself on track to fulfill my dream.

After completing BSc. degree I first worked as a Jr. Software Engineer at Information Engineers & Consultants BD. Ltd. Being a software engineer, although I developed my expertise in certain areas like team-working,
