Task 4
In this task I will be describing how to care for babies and children from birth to 8. It is very important to care for babies and children in certain ways to ensure that the child is both happy and healthy.

The first thing I am going to look at is the routines of the children, a good routine is important when dealing with children it gives them a feeling of security and safety. It also allows them to know what happens next. Routines vary and change as the baby grows, as babies are very different to children, for example older children will like to do things there selves, whereas babies are very vulnerable and need everything doing for them.

0-1 years
Care of skin, hair and teeth
Skin- babies’ skin is extremely sensitive and delicate, and the parent should take extra care when cleaning the skin. Bath time is a good time to help the baby and parent to bond, the parent should make bathing a fun and enjoyable time so as the child gets older the child will look forward to bathing. Until the babies umbilical cord stump has fallen of the parent should only sponge-bathe the baby, and when it has fallen of the baby should be bathed in a small tub, but the parent should still not submerge the baby. The bath should only be filled with a few inches of water. The water should not be hot, it should be lukewarm. Cold water should be put in the bath first and them hot, this is to avoid any scaldering spots, the water should then still be mixed thoroughly. The temperature of the water should not be to hot and should be around 90ºF the water should be tested with a baby thermometer on with the parents elbow. For comfort the parent should pour cups of the water over the baby so he/she doesn’t get cold. Babies from 0-6 months don’t need a bath everyday; they should be bathed at least twice a week. When the baby starts to sit up they then should start to be bathed in a bigger tub, the parent could, ‘place the baby tub he’s used to into the big tub until he’s more

    1. In "Epiphenomenal Qualia" (1982), Jackson creates the Knowledge Argument about a woman called Mary who is subjected to a monochrome life resulting in new experiences when she enters the real world. Jackson uses this 'Thought Experiment ' to illustrate his remonstration against Physicalism. After explaining what Physicalism is and how Jackson postulates his opposing argument, I shall determine what I believe to be the main objection to Jackson, namely the Ability Hypothesis and how it undermines Jackson 's premise that Mary gains new knowledge after leaving the room.…

After reviewing the case file of the correctional officer who is a 7 year veteran, I have notice that there are certain protocols that has to be taken due to the unprofessionalism actions the correction officer has taken in the incident involving an inmate. For the preparation for the meeting I would host, I have reviewed and will reilliterate the code of ethics that was presented to the officer at the time the officer was hired. As I am conducting the meeting with the correctional officer, I will ask the officer do he remembers the code of ethics. If the officer tells me he does I will have the officer to repeat the code of ethics of a correctional officer. Once the officer repeats the code of ethics, I would then ask the officer is there anything about the code of ethics that he does not understand. Once the officer has finish, I will then go back over the code of ethics. I will start off by say that the code of ethics for correctional officers is a promise that the officers makes to their job and I will continue with what the officer has promised. The officers promise to keep their private life faultless. For example, the officer has to be mindful of other in staying bravely calm. The officers promise to be mindful of the welfare of others and to be honest in their personal and official life. The officers promise to never act bossily or have personal feelings against another. For example, being prejudice, having…
