Miscarriage Research Paper
Miscarriage or “spontaneous loss” is the natural loss of embryo or fetus before 20 weeks of pregnancy. There are variety of reasons that can contribute to miscarriage, but the main cause is because the embryo or fetus did not develop correctly (chromosomal abnormalities). Nothing can be done to avoid a miscarriage, but medical care options are available to help go through this loss without further complications. A spontaneous abortion can be detected and might require treatment depending at what stage occurred. Some symptoms such as abdominal pain, low back pain, weakness and high temperature are signs of miscarriage. Also, older women are more susceptible of having a spontaneous loss than younger women. This painful loss is caused by health

Before the twenty weeks, the baby’s developments are still minimum. However, after that amount of weeks, the baby is starting to develop main body parts. The aftermath of late-term abortions can lead to high risks of hemorrhage, lacerations, uterine perforations, maternal death, and future pregnancy complications (Dr.Anthony Levatino). All in which are obviously not quite the symptoms that we desire to battle throughout the remaining years in what should be our beloved life. The only exception to late-term abortion should be if the mother’s life is at…

Not everyone deals with failure in the same way, I no I didn’t. I see failure as a learning experience and a reflection of who I am, or who I could’ve been. Usually, my defeats result in the expression “Better job next time,” but when my body failed to comply with natures natural purpose, a vast amount of disbelief overwhelmed me, unable to change my odds of a “Better job next time.” Miscarriages can manifest into mental, physical, and emotional obstacles because such mishaps, will eat away at an individual’s well-being. My miscarriage surfaced other unseen medical issues that left me with a whole in my heart and dreams of becoming a mother one day, non-existent.…

Each month, the experience of having the abortion worsens. In the first trimester, methotrexate and misoprostol or MTX, mifepristone and misoprostol, and suction aspiration are used. MTX and mifepristone and misoprostol are drug induced abortions whereas suction aspiration is a surgical method that literally vacuums out the developing fetus with a hollow tube that has a knife at the tip. This tip tears at the fetus and rips it into shreds and the vacuum sucks away the dead remains and discarded as waste. In the second trimester surgical procedures called dilation and evacuation, dilation and curettage, and induction abortion are performed. All are very cruel with no thought to what the growing fetus feels in mind. Dilation and curettage is often known as D&C is where they use a hook-shaped instrument, much like the suction aspiration to tear the child into pieces and the remains are scraped out. Dilation and evacuation is often referred to as D&E. This is where the doctor uses forceps to tear the developing child limb from limb, the spine is snapped and the skull is crushed. The dead baby is then removed from the womb and discarded like trash. Induction abortion is often called salt poisoning and is available in the second and third trimester. The doctor sticks a long needle into the womb and inserts a very strong salt solution into the…

The term late-term abortions has been used so much without the people knowing the real meaning of the word. The fact that people use this term so much makes them ignorant. The term has come up recently because of the presidential candidates. Donald Trump implies late-term abortions trying to use pathos to scare the society. The fact that he never explained what the term actually means makes the situation idiotic. Late term abortions occur at a late stage of a pregnancy when the life of the mother is threatened. The government is thinking about outlawing late term abortions. Outlawing late term abortions is redundant. The burdensome decision should be left to the mother bearing the fetus. It is seen as undermining the stance of what women have fought for;…

Abortion is a procedure performed to end a pregnancy before birth occurs. I will succinctly analyze whether the act of abortion is morally right or wrong. Since the philosophy of ethics is very social and states that we are all moral autonomous agents and are part of a moral community, we are defined as 'persons,' i.e. ethical individuals that legislate to reason right from wrong and thereby have a responsibility to do so. However, there is a fine line between being a 'person' and being a 'human being' -- they are closely related, but are not quite the same. The issue of 'personhood' is key and essential to any conclusion on the morality of abortion. There are three articles in which each author explains their own view on 'personhood' and abortion that will help me come to my own personal standpoint on this issue. The first article is named 'The Abortion Issue' by Mary Anne Warren, the next article is 'Why Abortion is Immoral' by Don Marquis, and lastly, 'Abortion and the Concept of a Person' by Jane English. Mary Anne Warren's basis for her argument is namely that abortion is justified, as she argues that a fetus is not a 'person.' Dan Marquis feels that abortion is seriously morally wrong even if the fetus is not considered a person because it is an act of killing a being with a right to life with a future. Jane English believes that it is impossible to define the fetus status as a 'person', and feels that abortion is morally accepted in the early stages of pregnancy but not in the later stages. I fully agree with Mary Anne Warren's claim that abortion is morally acceptable and that the fetus is not justified to be a 'person', therefore you are not killing a 'person', but the woman has a right to do what she wants with her body because she is a moral agent or 'person.'…

According to Merriam Webster’s online dictionary, abortions is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus. There are two types of abortions related to the definition, induced and spontaneous. Induced abortions happen at the disposal of the mother and follow a procedure in which there is a surgical procedure involved or the intake of a pharmaceutical drug. Both procedures have the serve same purpose, the forceful removal of an embryo from the mother’s womb. Spontaneous abortions, also commonly known as “miscarriages” happen unintentionally with the 24th and 20th week of pregnancy.
