Michael Scott The Office

The Office is a great piece of text because Michael Scott completely disregards and societal rules for how one is supposed to act in the workplace. White and blue collar employees are supposed to act certain ways and the regional manager of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin completely disregards said rules. Michael Scott may dress correctly for the workplace, but that is about it as he acts more like a child than a man, he constantly makes “that’s what she said jokes”, and has many alter egos. This essay will summarize the “Safety Training” episode of The Office use the Rhetorical Method and Race & Ethnicity Method, apply a credible outside source to the episode, and evaluate the episode and show overall.
As for the “Safety Training” episode of The Office, one would not want a safety training to occur like this at their place of work! In the episode, the group starts downstairs in the warehouse, where they learn about the dangers of bailers and forklifts. Then, all the employees head back upstairs to learn about the dangers of sitting too long, typing too long, and that they need to take breaks for stretching. In typical Michael Scott fashion, Michael is upset that his white collar workers do not face as much danger as the blue collar workers down in the warehouse. So, he does what any good
