METHOD STATEMENT

FOR

CLEANING SERVICES

AT

CHAMPIONS MANOR HALL COMMUNITY CENTRE

General
This method statement was prepared by Matthew Aldous of AT Cleaning Services (Essex) Limited on the 10th May 2011. The following statement will cover all elements and procedures for any proposed work to be carried out by the operatives of AT Cleaning Services (Essex) Ltd at the Champions Manor Hall Community Centre, South Woodham Ferrers.

Scope of Work

The areas to be cleaned will be as listed in the specification provided by South Woodham Ferrers Town Council in their order dated 3rd May 2011.

Health & Safety

The following points are applicable to all operatives whilst on site to undertake cleaning operations:

a) Only trained and competent employees of AT Cleaning Services may undertake the work b) All operatives undertaking cleaning operations will be deemed fit to do so by the Contract Manager c) As the contract is undertaken out of hours the operatives will work in pairs

Structure of Working Team

The working team will consist of two operatives and a Contract Manager. Each operative will have an equal share of the duties and will be responsible for his/her safety whilst at work.

In addition, the Contract Manager will be responsible for making sure that all members of the team are fully aware of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. The Contract manager will also ensure that the standard of work is of a consistently high standard at all times.

Emergency Procedures

When on site, the operative will be governed by the rules for emergency procedures laid down by the building/client. All accidents/injuries will be reported following the procedures laid down in the Company Health & Safety guidelines and in adherence to all current legislation.
