Media Has Many Diffrent Effects on Children and Society

Media has many diffrent effects on children, and society. Media has been around for years dating back to caveman drawings on walls to present days telivision. At a young age, children's minds learn best my soaking up information, and imitating what they see or hear. The typical American child will view more thean 200,000 acts of violence, including more than 16,000 murders before age 18. Media has shown benifits in the learning capablities in children by watching telivision shows such as Dora the explorer, teaching children their ABC's and 123'sby the actor onscreen pauseing to simulate a conversation with one another.

Media has great advantages on society. It keeps listeners and readers informed on the news to know weather if it will rain tommrow to even if someone has won the lottery. The media makes billions of dollars with the advertising they sell which society is exposed to every single moment. Advertisments will even use diffrent varitys of colors to make people hunger for food to even changing the mood of how people feel. Members of society purchures what they are told to buy by the media. After seeing thousands of advertisings; society makes buying decisions based on what they saw on Tv, newspapers or magazines. Media will be around for years to come and advanceing in many diffrent ways from how we dress to even who the people elect to be the next president of the United States.
