ABSTRACT
The Importance of Information Technology (IT) cannot be over emphasized as it is very necessary in all works of life; Agriculture, Health, Education, Security, Entertainment etc. It provides new opportunities for improving performance and strategic competitiveness. However, few organizations have successfully grasped the opportunities enabled by IT, largely due to their limited ability to evaluate the impact of IT on firm performance and ignorance. My Industrial Training Programme has exposed me to the IT industry with hands-on practical experience on Computer engineering and software development,

The practical side of computing can be seen everywhere. Nowadays, practically everyone is a computer user, and many people are even computer programmers. Getting computers to do what you want them to do requires intensive hands-on experience. But computer science can be seen on a higher level, as a science of problem solving. Computer scientists must be adept at modeling and analyzing problems. They must also be able to design solutions and verify that they are correct. Problem solving requires precision, creativity, and careful reasoning.
Computer science also has strong connections to other disciplines. Many problems in science, engineering, health care, business, and other areas can be solved effectively with computers, but finding a solution requires both computer science expertise and knowledge of the particular application domain. Thus, computer scientists often become proficient in other subjects.

I obtained a solid grounding in mathematics and physical sciences during my early school years and I progressed through my high school days. My attraction towards computer science field eventually became a hobby, which I thoroughly enjoyed and helped me expand my keen of knowledge. I am hard working and sincere to my work. I feel that discipline and punctuality are part of my life. I have got very good Analytical skills and excellent Mathematical skills. With my good communication skills I can impress people. Given a problem, I cannot stay serene without solving it. For helping to achieve my final goal of study the field, books papers and source codes will be the main resources I use. Computers have a central and growing role in commerce, industry, government, medicine, education, entertainment and society at large. It no longer plays a minor part in society – it is embedded in, and affects, all aspects of life, from education to healthcare to war. Dealing with the implications of this is a major challenge, and one that can impact upon us, both personally and professionally. As a consequence, it is vital that all in the computing industry make wise decisions regarding their conduct. Although technical issues are obviously central to any Computer Engineering curriculum, they do not by themselves constitute a complete educational program in the field. Students must also develop an understanding of the social and professional context in which Computer Engineering is done. Undergraduates also need to understand the basic cultural, social, legal, and ethical issues inherent in the discipline of Computer Engineering. They should understand where the discipline has been, where it is, and where it is heading. They should also understand their individual roles in this process, as well as appreciate the philosophical questions, technical problems, and aesthetic values that play an important part…

He also added that part of this mismatch (between education and skills) could be caused by the misguided notion that 'Computer Science' graduates don't necessarily go into 'Software Engineering', so are taught a more scientific approach, rather than vocational. However, the Computer Science graduates have software/programming careers, not science.…

Computer science deals with studying and analyzing the algorithms and problems that are related to making the computer do its task. This involves knowing the details of how the computer, as well as knowing how the network works. Computer science aims at understanding the theories that make the computer function. At its basic level, computer science is about solving problems. A computer scientist therefore, must be a good analytical thinker. One must also have the dedication to press forward with something until a specific solution is found. Computer science needs the use of logic to evaluate solutions and revise strategies to get answers exactly right. Computer scientist should also have a lot of patience because finding an answer and the results can often take time.…

Computer science is the discipline that has made this entirely new way of life possible for us as a nation, world, and species. The study of computer science, like other subjects in a liberal arts education, gives us a broad and deep understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles underlying much of our world. When you go to banks what do you see? When you go to airports, what do you see representatives use to carry out flight reservations? When it is time to vote for a new president, what is used for the voting process? Your answer is computers. Computers that make it possible for multifaceted tasks to be done. There are several special aspects of computer science that make it an important and useful field of study. For example, Algorithmic Thinking, computer science focuses on the discovery and development of algorithms, or methods of solving problems that can be automated. No matter what field I work in, if I can conceptualize the solution of a problem as an algorithm, that problem can be solved with a computer. Algorithmic thinking that I learn to do in computer science is a systematic and general-purpose approach to problem solving that cuts across all of the disciplines in science, engineering, and the arts. When engineering and using artistic abilities, there also comes the idea of creating the “next big thing” for whatever purpose.…

There are many misconceptions about individuals who have careers in the computer technology field. Since there are so many different specializations in computer science, the various fields are often confused. A common misconception of computer specialists is the amount of their pay. The most highly paid computer professionals are those who invent and develop new hardware and software peripherals. Although there is a high demand for computer specialists in most divisions of the field, certain divisions are declining in the need for personnel. The need for simple programmers is declining because of the growth of technology and the development of software that can automatically code basic programs independently. Computer software engineers are more skilled than computer programmers because they create applications that are used in various companies and homes throughout the world.…
