Managed Care and Rehabilitation are modules in the United State’s health care systems. Managed care consumes an increasing amount of the Gross Domestic Product, whereas, rehabilitation is the healthcare delivery system, required by healthcare professionals to measure the degree of rehabilitation a patient has undergone, that is, follow-up on surgeries or other medical procedures. Here it describes a model for integrating psychiatric rehabilitation services, in a managed community health care organization, that Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Managed Care are two distinct developments in the provision of mental health services and have proceeded independently, though they can have compatible methods and outcomes.
