Love Dose Analysis
After reading the book Love Dose by Bob Goff many wonderful Ideas stuck with me. I am amazed at how many truly wonderful things happened to one man. It brings me comfort to know that there are people out there like Bob who love’s all people, no matter what. Goff loves people not just because Jesus said to, but because he wants to. That concept to me is amazing and truly meaningful. The story that stuck out to me the most was the first chapter. I promise I read the book, but even after finishing the book over a month ago the first chapter stuck with me the most. The story runs from page one to page nine. When Goff was in high school he was friends with a man named Randy who helped run a youth bible study of sorts. Goff decided to leave school at the begging of his junior year of high school. Goff wanted to move to Yosemite and find work there. After Goff was ready to leave and all packed up he went to say good bye to his friend Randy. Randy wanted to come too so Goff allowed him to tag along. Goff did not find any work but Randy supported him no matter where Goff went. Finally, Goff gave up and went …show more content…
It shows a sacrificial love that most people do not have today. I have a friend who is there for me no matter what happens. His name is Billy, he is older funny man who spends his time as an author of science fiction. He is my Randy. I know that Billy would do anything for me, I would just have to ask. Billy would support me, he would not force his opinions on me. Billy has always been there for me, even in my depression. I love that man so much, he is my best friend. Randy also reminds me of God. Randy could have told Goff no and been mean and unsupportive. Randy never did that, he allowed Goff to make his own decisions. Even though Randy probably knew that the Job hunt would be unsuccessful. This story reminds me of my friends and family who are always there for me no matter how hurt I

The ethics triangle is a model to follow to help militate against unethical decision-making. If Mayor Burns used this model it might have helped him make better decisions. When there is no moral discernment of what is right or wrong, a public official or administrator needs to analyze the situation carefully. However, in the following case study this does not appear to be something Mayor Burns practiced. For the purposes of this paper the case study “Gotta Love Those Bread & Butter Unions” will be analyzed. The source for all subsequent quotes is from this case study.…

Jose worked with Joe in a bakery. He showed the readers that money is only relevant if you want it to be. That money and success aren't directly correlated, success is what you make of it. Jose wanted to quit his job at the bakery because he got a better job in a movie studio, but wasn't sure how to tell his boss, who had been good to him when he needed a job the most. Jose showed the aspect of how relational success is more important in some situations than personal gains. He respected his boss, Jody Simmons, and wanted to reciprocate that feeling into how he treated those around him. He ended up dumping pies, albeit probably not the same choices many would have made today, but he felt bad, and paid for the ruined pies with his paycheck. He wasn't in the game of life for the purpose of living comfortably and having lots of money and by default hurting those around him, he was going to do it right and valued the right things, relationships not the products of those relationships. Jose may not have been rich, but he was successful to his own standards and that was what…

It served as a wake up call to me that everybody is just as lost as you. People have become experts at hiding it. Life is a series of ups, downs, and sideways that we try to navigate through. Empathy should be served to all you meet for they are struggling just the same. Even when we don’t understand a person’s actions or they don’t deserve it, such as in Peter’s case, the only thing we can do to change our future is to be compassionate.…

Armitage writes her article by comparing love through many perspectives and metaphorical frames. Immediately, Armitage adopts a romantic, fairy-tale persona to highlight to the audience that love was once an unproblematic experience of life. The title of the piece with symbolic verb “broken” infers connotations that science has destroyed idyllic love. Furthermore, the low-modality of “could help save marriages” reveals the totality of Armitage’s feelings towards this chemical make-up of love, emphasising the author’s disjointed uncertainty of the scientific approach.…

Love Does is a book written about the whimsical and enthralling life of Bob Goff and his discovery of a secretly incredible life in an ordinary world. His life is very different than the everyday christian because he follows what God wants rather than the world, no matter his opinion. He changes the idea of love from a thought or feeling into an action. He lives by the idea that, if Jesus would do it, he should do it, no matter how far out of his comfort zone it may be. His life has impacted many people because it has been fueled by love, not works. Love in action turns each day into a meaningful chance to make faith simple and real. The lessons Goff illustrates…

Some may argue that the greatest love story to date is Romeo and Juliet: the love; the passion; the unlikely pair. Although Romeo and Juliet may be a great tale of two unlikely lovers, it could never compare to Our Christian Story. However, throughout these two renowned stories, elements of love and sacrifice can be demonstrated frequently. Out of love, we are able to make sacrifices for those whom which we hold dear to our hearts; when humanity betrayed God by consuming fruit from the forbidden tree, He displayed an unconditional love by sending His only son, Jesus Christ, to absolve us from sin. This represents a vital bond of love that has, over time, remained between God and humanity, but to experience this bliss we must freely embrace…

What Tim O’Brien is trying to tell the readers is that true stories, such as war stories, can make the reader feel emotion when reading, or listening about a soldier’s experience. In one of his stories “Where have you gone, Charming Billy”, he tells about a scared young man during his time in the war. He tells the readers that fear can make someone act faster before they can even think about knowing what they are doing. He also tells the readers that a war is filled with fear from soldiers with very little bravery.…

It made the book and enjoyable read, all while being enlightening and hard-hitting. Love is key, not only to a happy life but to making the world a better place. Without love, what’s our purpose? We don’t have a purpose without love, everything we do would have no meaning, it would just be chaos and unbeneficial. Every action we carry out should be full of love and compassion, and if that were too happy the world would be a better place. No wars, no useless violence and killing, it’s our jobs to care for this planet and everything on it. I can’t stress enough the responsibility humans have that came with free will and emotions. Why be born without morals if we don’t put them to use. Love and care for all, not only will it make you happy but those around you, even…
