Conforming or not? Gabrielle 10-1
Today, in society, the conflict between pursuing your personal desire or choosing to conform is a big decision. It can sometimes be difficult to make but that can influence weather you are fighting for yourself or not. I think everyone in this world should pursue their personal desire in life but, some people think differently about it. The girl in “Bar Code Tattoo” looks like she has been conforming to the society she lives in, but I know that no matter what happens to me I will always pursue my personal desire. Fight for yourself and your dreams might come true.
The girl of “Bar Code Tattoo” looks plain and normal; she does not look like anything unique nor exclusive. She looks like an ordinary woman. I think her plain white shirt, her loose hair and her bar code on her wrist mostly represent the fact that she is conforming to the society that she lives in. Everyone probably has a bar code on their wrists so is she. You can see that the picture is a bit faded and that might be her point of view towards her personal desire. Since she is conforming to the bar code society, the vision she has of her personal desires are faded and blurred. Weather because she does not know what her personal desires are or because she does not know how to achieve them anymore. All of this suggests that she choose to conform but might of regret it, now that she knows how it feels not being able to achieve any of her dreams.
Second of all, throughout my life, I want to accomplish each and every one of my personal desire. I do not want to miss one of them. I do not want any single moment of my life to be faded like the bar code girl’s. I think that all my personal goals or dreams are all as important as the others. I do not want to conform to anyone neither to everyone. I want to be unique and particular. Everyone should try to be different from one another to forge their characters into their own life, and also to achieve their
