Letter to My Bestie
To my Honky/Wetback Sista Leslie,

Girl, remember when we first met! You didn’t like me because you thought Julio liked me, lol! You had it all wrong, lol! Who would have ever known that once you fixed your ham and cheese face you and I would become best of friends! We have come a long way in life. We got our butt’s whooped by a Capitan (Spanish Lingo) for some idiots we didn’t end up with, lol!! If we would have known that we would have thought twice about getting involved with them. But hey, it’s what made us the beautiful woman, mothers and wives to be we are today! You’ve always been an inspiration and a friend I could always count on to listen and provide me with advice. You have grown some much and if anything I just wanted to let you know that I am super proud of you for becoming such a wonderful friend and mother, and soon to be wife. You have waited for this day for a long time and now it’s finally here. I would like to wish you the very best. I know you will make Jason happy and will take care of him because you are such a good woman! I pray that the Lord will watch over you guys and that you will treat one another with much respect and work through every problem. Remember a marriage is work and you will have to work at it to keep it going. I know you’re a strong, loving woman and don’t give up without a fight so keep it throughout your marriage not matter what comes your way. Be sure to read your bible every day and pray for the Lord to guide you guys I love you and are truly grateful to the Lord that He provided me with this opportunity to witness such a special time in your life. You know where to always find me. Enjoy your day and smile always because you are so loved

In a few years from now, I would really like to open up some sort of cafe, specifically a boba shop. I would like for it to be located in California, specifically Southern California so it can compete with other boba shops. The menu would be filled with a variety of milk teas, flavored teas, and lattes that can be paired with various toppings such as boba, grass jelly, egg pudding, different popping boba flavors, and an array of different fruit jellies. I would also like to serve small desserts on the side, such as macarons, mille crepe cakes, and brick toast. As for the cafe itself, I would like for it to have a cozy yet minimalistic vibe from the decor. In other terms, white…

Over vacation we spoke about writing letters (I hear it’s just like texting but even more efficient) and I realized that I should probably put into practice what I was preachin’. I was so impressed with the picture of you two that I had no choice but to share it, and what better way that via the mail! That night we went out to eat was such a blessing (minus your sushi dinner… maybe we can shoot for BBQ next time) and the Marsh Walk was absolutely beautiful. I was also lucky enough to enjoy the night with Ryan and the two people that raised him to be a man that I can say I trust whole-heartedly. It was the first time I really got to appreciate his parents and that was something I will be forever grateful for. There is…

At the surface, the letter Lord Chesterfield writes to his son appears to simply offer his son simple sound advice with the intention to help his son. It seems that he is trying to give his son this advice in a friendly manner as opposed to a father giving his son advice. However, upon closer analysis of what Chesterfield writes, one can see how he is actually subtly reminding his son of his obligations and duties. Using strategies such as understatements, diction, and rhetorical questions, Chesterfield subtly leaves reminders to his son that shows what Chesterfield holds as high values: obedience and reputation.…

The past months have been amazing with you written on every page. If there’s anything that I could be thankful for, it’s you coming into my life in the most unpredictable way and time. Looking back to the first few months of classes, it seemed unbelievable to see us end up in this position. Despite that, I want you to know that I admire the simplest gestures you do for me and I appreciate every single one of them. I love it when you sing to me. I love it when you take my hand in yours. I love it when you kiss me goodbye. I love how you tell me I’m beautiful every day. I love the openness. And of course, I love how you make me feel. You’ve been one of the reasons I have a smile on my face. One of the reasons why I love waking up in the morning.…
