TP Group’s Lesson Aims:
Listening and Grammar: Learners will have listened for gist and specific details. Learners will have learned and practised using 3rd person in Present Simple – positive and negative.
Reading: Learners will have developed their skills of reading for gist and specific details.
Grammar: Learners will have learned and practised Present Simple Question forms/Wh- questions.
Individual Lesson Aims:
Grammar: Learners will have learned and practised Present Simple Questions forms/Wh- questions.

Encouraging more pair/group work to engage ss more and increase their interaction.
Follow through on tasks.
Elicit more from ss.
White Board Plan:
Write on the white board: ‘Using ‘does’, ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘why’ in questions forms’.
MS PowerPoint presentation.
Anticipated problems and solutions: (e.g. ss’ previous knowledge, setting up activities, organising the room)
Anticipated problems:
Ss may have difficulties completing the tasks within the given time frame.
Solution:
Monitor and guide ss while they perform the task.

Context for presentation
Familiarizing ss with question and answer forms in the 3rd person singular present simple tense using the words ‘does’, ‘what’, ‘where’ and ‘why’.
Describing actions that happen in the present and are always true.
Some ss may be unfamiliar with tenses.
Solution: Not to overemphasize the tense but to allow them to learn the sentence structures in asking and answering questions in the 3rd person singular present simple tense form.

To ask: ‘Does + he/she + VERB + … ‘.
To answer: ‘Yes, he/she + VERB-(e)s + … ’ or ‘Yes, he/she does.’
To ask: ‘What does he/she + VERB + … ‘
To answer: ‘He/she + VERB-(e)s + … ‘
