Do you think mistakes are only to make your life miserable? Mistakes are not always bad, they make us be stronger in the future and let better things occur in our lives. I always thought that by doing something bad, it will make us regret our lives and our past; that it will make us be ashamed of ourselves but I now realize that it shouldn’t be that way. Mistakes are like levels in a game, you may be able to pass them without getting harmed and they will teach you something new so next time it comes again, you won’t do the same thing. I believe that if you make a mistake, take the positive and learn. It gives you the opinion to actually learn something new about a situation and move on in a positive way. When you make a mistake, it sort of opens the metaphorical door to learning something new about yourself. Learn from your mistakes. We can often learn more from a mistake than from success, unlikely as it sounds. For example, if you play with fire, but don’t get burnt, you might do it again, but if you do it wrong and seriously hurt yourself, you will most likely know fire equals bad. Everyone has made a mistake in their lives. At least just one, I mean if someone has never made a mistake, well that obviously means he/she doesn’t know anything. Why? Because mistakes are mostly the things that teach us in life. If we were perfect, nothing would really intrigue us. I feel that bad experiences give us more strength and make us better equipped to deal with life. I talked to a guy the past few months that treated me badly and didn’t show he cared as much, and I think I've learned so much more from this than I have in the past. I learned to never let anyone hurt me and step on me, I learned to not show my emotions so much in future relationships, I learned about the kind of person I want in the future and the kind of person I don't want, I learned not to be so needy and to depend on myself for my happiness. Even though it was really painful when he stopped talking to me and I had many weeks of painful emotions, I definitely feel like I came out in the end a much stronger person. In the long run he did me a favor. Another misstep I did that really taught me something was to lie to my parents. When we usually just turn teenagers, our mind starts changing, and we most likely take different paths than where we were. I started to lie more and more until my parents would find out everything I lied about; I got mostly everything taken away for a long time and that taught me to be truthful and honest to both of my parents so I won’t be able to suffer and have nothing in my life. Sometimes we don’t realize we’re doing something bad until we get hurt and that’s usually how we learn. I know that it is pretty tough to accept mistakes made by us but it’s easy if we can see our mistakes from a different angle all together. We, humans usually think the negative thoughts about our mistakes, but we need to understand and accept that the mistakes we do will bring huge changes and make our lives distinct in some sort of way, depending on the mistake. I now realize why mistakes are also helpful and not only hurtful.

I spent the whole night in the worst hospital, then I got 18 stitches in the bottom of my foot. It also set back my ability to play football. My mistake was going outside without shoes, now I wear my shoes all the time.…

Anyone can have one bad decision that reflects the rest of his/her life and anyone can decide whether they want to dwell on their past or decide that they want to make up for what they did to end up in that position in the first place. For example, my mom was a young teenager when she became pregnant with me. She had to drop out of high school due to complications from her pregnancy. Even though she had a daughter at a young age instead of using me as a crutch to get governmental assistance she went to night school at a local community college until she graduated with her GED and is now graduating with her master’s degree in education.…

We all know and have experienced these times in our lives - leaving an essay at home, forgetting to pay our taxes, or neglecting to refill the gas tank leaving us stranded on the side of the highway. At the time, they can be embarrassing, painful, and detrimental to something or someone we care about; however, they are possibly the most valuable moments in our lives. As humans, we tend to remember our misfortunes more distinctly than our successes as that feeling of dread and sorrow tends to brand itself into the side of our brain, triggering an immediate reminder when we come close to making the same mistake twice. Therefore, we grow and develop as individuals more so through our failures. For me, the first time I learned how to drive taught me both to be careful with a vehicle - they can deadly and harmful to others and yourself - and that mistakes are okay to make as long as you grow from…

Be that as it may, disappointment botches still don't feel like a marvelous learning opportunity. I know it is my deficiencies that make me exceptional and that I ought to grasp the lurches and screw ups. Yet, it is a test for me and a test for a significant number of us. We live and act in approaches to avert botches. But our mistakes and failures are gifts, gems, guideposts in our learning and growth as people. It’s a reality check. When we experience the consequences of mistakes, we get a clear message about which of our efforts are working—and which are not. The feedback we get from our mistakes can be the most specific, pointed, and powerful feedback we’ll ever get. Many times we can trace mistakes to recurring patterns of belief or behavior—things we do, say, and think over and over again. When we spot and change a habit we may find that other areas of our lives change for the better. The trials we face through our daily lives make us stronger and wiser. Solving problems may cause mistakes, which we can learn from. I believe that trials make you stronger. Everyone goes through trials throughout their lives; some more than others. Trials are placed in our lives to let us view our lives through optimistic eyes, even in times of heartache. But no matter what type of trial it is, I think if you overcome it, it will make you a better…

    You Only Live Once

    • 561 Words

I believe we all live once to attain a successful endeavor that not only provides the necessities for yourself but can facilitate to those that are near you. Mistakes are bound to happen when pursuing this successful role toward “only living once” but knowing the difference between knowing if a mistake will happen and having a mistake happen during your actions that take place is different. For example you could be studying for an exam in math and English but decided to study for math because you assume you will do more poorly at it than English because you have always been average in Math and English is not a problem, so as test day comes and you take the math test you seem to not have a problem but as you took the English exam you take longer because you had not equally balanced the study time and had not focused on what the exam was really going to be so you did poorly on the subject you thought you’d do well in, that is a mistake that was not done without knowing. An example of just knowing the mistake is when your hanging out with your group of friends and your offered a substance you are not suppose to abuse and have thought about a wrong factor that may interfere with your actions if you follow the steps of your peers but even as that thought came across you do it anyways…
