Lady Diana Spencer At 1st July 1961 Diana Frances Spencer was born as third daughter of John Edward Spencer and Lady Frances Spencer on the Royal Estate of Sandringham. She also has one brother. Her father was the equerry to Queen Elisabeth II and later 8th Earl of Spencer. From 1975 after the death of her grandfather Diana bore the title “Lady Diana”. After the divorce of her parents her father obtained custody for his four children. 1977 Diana met for the very first time her later husband Prince Charles at a hunting party. At that time he was friends with one of her sisters. Diana returned to London after visiting finishing school in Switzerland. There she lived with 3 friends at an apartment and worked as children’s nanny. The romance between Diana and Charles started in 1980. From this time on Diana was the most photographed woman all over the world. And it was hard for her to get along with it from the very first beginning till her tragically end. Just a few months later the engagement between the next heir to the throne and the 19 years old Lady Diana was official announced. And in July 1981 millions of people all over the world followed at their televisions the wedding of Charles and Diana. 1982 their first son Prince William was born and two years later his younger brother Prince Henry (better known as Harry) followed. But the marriage was no happy one. Diana attempted suicide for the first time in 1985 and she got ill on bulimia. In 1992 her father die and his death affected Diana greatly. The same year the British Prime Minister announced Charles and Diana’s separation. They got divorced in 1996. One of the reasons therefore was Charles love to Camilla Parker Bowles that let Diana always take a back seat. But 1997 at long last Diana seemed to be the first time happy in love to Dodi Al Fayed.
