Job Shadowing Future
In the senior English class, we were required to do the job shadowing of someone related to our prospective job. I job shadowed Ebony Conner in the Beaumont Hospital in Taylor in the medical office management.

It was a great experience as it allowed me to oversee the future that I would be acquiring. How the future job and the daily routine of one will be in this job and what's their life looks like.

I learned a lot through this experience. Moreover, it changed my perspective about this job greatly. Now, I will think twice before adopting any job and also I will surely job shadow anyone related to that specific job. In addition, I need to know where I am going so that I get further college education

This was an invaluable experience as I was able to develop and enhance new skills. For example I was given the role of a leader to ensure that students were using the correct method on the mannequin. When we were given the task to stitch up the cut, I guided them; making sure that they all had clean hands and cleaned the injured area with antiseptic wipes before stitching. The simulation offered clues and hints for me to focus on. For example, I needed to sharpen my communication skills by talking slowly, choosing my words appropriately, and speaking less formal. This is an important step to accomplish so I can make a sound conversation that based on courtesy and comfort. What I also liked about the simulation session wass that it gave me chance to practice on real people without the worry of making mistakes. He also introduced me to other grade level teachers and encouraged me to spend time with them too. I got a lot of hands on experience and thought it was very helpful that I had the chance to spend time in different classrooms of different grade levels.…
