Jehovah’s have been treated poorly and even been victims of violent crimes. Even they were shunned in many different areas around the world. Like in Frances the government branded them as dangerous and the kingdom halls were burned down, firebomb, shot at and vandalized. In The united states in the early 30’s and 40’s in some parts of the United states made it illegal for Jehovah’s Witnesses distribute their literature and the children of Jehovah’s witnesses were banded from attending schools in the state.
The 1930s and 1940s, some US states passed laws that made it illegal for Jehovah 's Witnesses to distribute their literature, and children of Jehovah 's Witnesses in some states were banned from attending state schools. Mob violence against Jehovah 's Witnesses was not uncommon, and some were murdered for their beliefs. Those responsible for these attacks were seldom prosecuted the sources of this discrimination and prejudice came from governments as well as general population.
Despite their different beliefs, the Jehovah’s Witness do believe that according to the bible, they must love their neighbors and show love to one another. So I can understand Jehovah witnesses in a way. Because no matter what happens they continue to help American anyway they can and also do it with all the rules they have. So if they can help American and stick with the rules I appreciate them very much.

Barnette asked the federal district to stop enforcement of the requirements of the patriotic exercises. A three-judge panel granted Barnette’s request. Judge John J. Parker stated that the flag-salute requirement was “violative of religious liberty when required of persons holding the religious views of the plaintiffs.” After the board’s decision, no more Jehovah’s Witnesses were expelled from schools for not saluting to the flag. The decision was then appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court and by a 6-3 vote they ruled that it was unconstitutional for public school officials to require students to salute and pledge allegiance to the flag at the risk of expulsion from school on June 14th, 1943. “The Barnette Court couched its decision in language evoking freedom of speech. The choice to salute the flag was speech, the Court said, and the First Amendment protected individuals from compelled speech. It almost did not matter that the Jehovah's Witnesses had religious objections to pledging allegiance to the American flag; neither they, nor anyone, could be forced to verbally espouse beliefs they did not…

The Westboro Baptist Church was founded in 1955 by Fred Phelps. During his youth he attended various Universities and Colleges. He said that he attended a Methodist revival and that was what sparked his fire in religion. Afterwards he decided to become a minister; he changed his denomination affiliation to Baptist and was ordained as a minister. Ethnicity is a group that is set apart from others because of its national origin or distinctive cultural pattern. Ethnicity also factors in ancestry and belief such as religion. A great example to demonstrate how ethnicity is different from race is how an African American culture is dramatically different from an African from Africa. I am a Black American Christian who can not relate to any of the culture that originated in Africa including their traditions and language.…

The first major case was the “Scopes Monkey Trial.” John Scopes was a high school teacher in the town of Dayton, Tennessee. He was charged with teaching evolution. After the trial he was fined $100. Another major trial was the West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette (1943). In this trial, requiring someone to say the Pledge of Allegiance violated the right to freedom of religion. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe it is wrong to pledge your alliegence to anything, but God. This is how it was deemed unconstitutional. In 1962 and 1963, rulings were made that made prayer in schools pretty much illegal. Two rulings in the 1990s supported student religious groups the same privledges as other clubs. (Does religion have a place in public…

Ethnicity and race has had a big influence on peoples' every day life choices. In some way or another, most people will be judged according to their color of their skin or their ethnic background. We live in a society full of different races and cultures affecting the way we interact with each other, as well as influencing our views on equality and differences among the many different races in our society. Often influential media groups and social standards shape our beliefs, also affecting how we interact with cultures different from our own, and how various groups interact with each other. Race and ethnicity may be defined as a type of grouping or classification based on a persons origin of birth and includes their racial appearance, language, religion and culture. Ethnicity can be defined as a social construction that indicates identification with a particular group who share common cultural traits, such as language, religion and traditions.…
