Who is the current leader of the agency? James Comey is the director of the FBI, being appointed by President Obama in 2013. What are the priorities and responsibilities (the Mission) of the agency? The FBI’s mission statement involves protecting and defending the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats and enforcing United States criminal law. The FBI also provides leadership and assists any other agencies that it might work with, from local Police Departments to other Federal or even international agencies. They actually list there number one priority as protecting the United States from a terrorist attack, so it fits pretty well with the mission statement. They also defend against cyber-attacks, protect civil liberties and combat multiple types of crime. The FBI’s moto is “Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity”, which …show more content…
A man by the name of Brian K. Hendrix was just sentenced to twenty one years in prison for his role in an international child exploitation ring, revolving around getting underage girls to perform sexual acts on a webcam. He would use fake profiles on different social media websites to convince underage girls, some as young as eight, that he was also a young girl. He would then play a video of another victim of his performing sexual acts in front of the camera, convincing the new victim to do the same and record it for his child pornography website. The department that built the case is known as the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children Section (VCACS). A total of eight other co-conspirators where arrested and sentenced as a part of the operation, from New York to South Africa. This particular case is a fantastic example of the FBI working with other federal agencies and even other nation’s police forces. I counted over a dozen agencies that assisted in making these arrests, involving the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and South African

Comey was a minor assistant US attorney in the late 90s. He only gained power and money by being the DOJ official who "investigated" and cleared Bill Clinton of any wrong-doing in Clinton's totally corrupt pardon (for huge payoffs) of criminal financier Marc Rich as Clinton was leaving the Presidency. This is how Comey began his career as a creature of the "swamp" years ago, as a servant of the Clintons.…

A mission statement is a declaration of attitude more than a statement of specific details. A good mission statement allows for the generation and consideration of a range of feasible alternative objectives and strategies And an overly general statement that does not exclude any strategy alternatives could be dysfunctional. Apple Computer’s mission statement, for example, should not open the possibility for diversification into pesticides, or Ford Motor Company’s into food processing.…

In August of this year, an Atlanta man was charged with seven child pornography offences based on the evidence that he had convinced a nine year old girl to make sexually explicit videos for him, using her webcam. Also in August a Trinidad man was arrested in Miami having allegedly gone there to have sex with children whom he met in an online chatroom. As recently as November this year a Toronto man was charged with numerous counts of child pornography, after he was found in possession of ‘hundreds of thousands’ of images featuring horrific acts of sexual abuse. This arrest has triggered 341 arrests around the globe and resulted in the rescue of 346 children. All these arrests, the alleged perpetrators used what has turned out to be the number one tool in promoting the child pornography industry, the internet. With the continuing development of the electronic age, this global phenomenon has escalated into a multi- billion dollar industry, where the demand for child pornography have seen an increase in the number crimes being committed against children in order to meet this demand. In the meantime, lawmakers and law enforcement agencies are being challenged to curb this trend as they are continually being stalled because these crimes are committed across many platforms and borders around the Globe. With this in mind the World community has to come together to share one voice in combating not just the possessors, distributors or producers of child pornography, but the ones who commit these terrible act against our young children.…

Child Pornography is illegal throughout the entire world. There are many perverts that have Internet access and will specifically search for pictures and/or videos of under age children because it will satisfy their sexual needs. Many may actually think that it is okay to talk to other perverts and exchange files over the Internet. They will also try and talk to the young children in chat rooms and ask them for pictures and to meet up to physically see each other. The adult users would use a secret identity to hide who the really are so no one could find out who they were really talking to. The only way that police could find out who the suspect was, was to trace the IP address back to the exact location of where the computer of the suspect is located. When the internet first appeared, parents would try and block these sites so their children would not enter them, even though they looked harmless. This situation was becoming a global problem. Once a suspect of child pornography is caught, police will need a warrant to search the inside of the suspect’s home. Many will find a massive amount of children’s items around the home such as clothing, books, dolls etc. They can also find a large stash of videotapes of child porn within the house. The largest bust in Canada was a man that had over 18,000 files of porn on his hard drive and when police showed up to his home, he was in the act of looking at porn.…
