IT Department
The responsibilities for the IT department or also known as the Information Technology department in a business is to assure all systems are functional at all times. The IT department is in charge of the software, hardware, architecture and the networking of the computers in the company. Employees within the IT department are responsible for different parts of the department. There are the Programmers, groups in charge of the Company Website, the Technical Support and the Administration. The different areas of the IT department will work together to make sure that all employees have full access to the computer systems to operate on a daily basis.
The programmers from the IT department are in charge of creating new programs that are specific to the needs of the business. These programs are created to help the company prosper within and not to be sold to other companies. The programmers will create a program to track inventory, process work orders, run different manufacturing equipment if needed or any tasks that the business needs assistance with. The programmers will provide new tools for other departments to use for better solutions.
All major companies have a company website that provides more information about the company to the public. To make sure the website is operating on a daily basis there is the group that is in charge of the Company Website from the IT department. This department will create the website and also maintain it. The group will provide the layout of the website, write the programing codes and test the website for daily use. The testing allows the website to be modified to meet the company’s needs.
Once a company is operating on a daily bases, there are always new updates that are made to the system to make sure the company is up to date with the new programs. The Technical Support of the IT department will provide the assistance to the daily users in the company. The Technical Support will provide the installing of the new software,
