Improving Delegating Skills In Nursing

One of the first practice the nurse can do to improve the delegation skills is to identify what and when to delegate to others in the team work. The nurse has to be able to identify if the skills that she is going to delegate are appropriate to delegate based on the knowledge and skills abilities of the delegatee. Also, the nurse has to be able to communicate effectible and clearly to make sure the person that is going to perform the skill being delegated has a full understanding of what is been delegated. Another important point is to follow up with the delegatee and the patient after the delegated skill was performed.
