Making Ice Cream in a Bag
Have you ever made homemade ice cream? It can be a lot of fun, and you end up with a tasty frozen treat! Craving for ice cream is a frequent passion that everyone has. Once one faces this passion, one usually makes a run down to the local grocery store for a pint of ice cream. But that’s not necessary, don't go running down to the store or market for an ice cream fix. If the house consists of these core ingredients: salt, ice, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract, then consider making it yourself. In this essay I will teach the simple method of making ice cream at home: gather the supplies, mix the supplies, and prepare and enjoy.
First things first, get out the milk; any kind will be fine such as: strawberry and chocolate. Those types of ice cream can be made as well as vanilla, even though vanilla is the best. Get out the sugar and the vanilla extract next (only if you want to make vanilla ice cream). Vanilla extract may look weird when added, but trust me it makes the ice cream taste a lot better. Now you’ll need to get out a two quart sized plastic bag, that’s just the small one that children use daily for their lunch boxes. Be sure to squeeze all of the air out of this bag, because too much air inside can make it open during the mixing process, which wouldn’t be too good. Inside this bag you will need to pour ½ cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and if you’re making vanilla ice cream, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Place this bag of mixed ingredients inside another quart sized bag so that you won’t get salt and water into your ice cream when it comes time to shake the bags. This is called double-bagging, I’m sure moms appreciate this because it prevents them from cleaning up huge spills.
Next, get out a bigger lunch bag and place the double-bagged bags inside the bigger one. The most fun part is getting closer. After placing the double-bagged bags inside the bigger one, get ice

How to Make an Ice Cream

    • 339 Words
    • 2 Pages

There are nine easy steps to make a delicious ice cream. First one is to get a large bowl and pour warm water in it. Add one teaspoon of unflavored gelatin and blend it very well with your balloon stainless steel whisk. You’ll need two cups of fresh milk. Mix one cup together with a quarter cup of sweet honey. By this time, you can now sense the aroma of the honey spreading the area. The next step is to put the rest of the fresh milk along with a cup of evaporated milk, and mix it again. Once you’re done, put the contents in the freezing compartment of your refrigerator. Leave it in the freezer for two hours or until it is very hard. Might as well relax or watch television with your favorite show in the mean time. After your break, put it out and beat the mixture with a whisk, again, to make it soft and frothy. Mix the nuts and stir it lightly. You may use fruits if you prefer a healthier diet. And put it again in the freezer and leave it there for another two hours. Once it is frozen, take the ice cream out and serve it to your family or friends.…
