How to Enjoy Music
“HOW TO ENJOY MUSIC”
BY SALAMA AL RUMAITHI

What is music and why has it been around for so long? Music takes you to another world. Whenever you feel down and listen to music it cheers you up. Music motivates people and makes you imagine things. Music is harmony and melody. It makes you play instruments like the guitar or piano and sing out loud. It can make you cry or make you dance to the music.

The beginning your true encounter with music should begin with singing and listening to music. Music can inspire you to do things. Music has its own words it’s like the song is meant for you whenever you need it. It tells me words I want to hear from others. It is very motivational to me and to others. It’s like living in paradise. “I want to sing I want to shout I want to scream till the world cries out”. That’s the feeling I get in music.

Going to an opera concert is a good place to start. Singing can help you express your feelings. It lets all the words that are in your heart come out. It is singing with emotion and singing deeply through your heart. It’s like your screaming out your emotion in a heavenly voice. It makes people feel the love or pain you are in. it makes them emotional to hear to hear the song within. “Opera is where a guy gets stabbed in the back, and instead of dying, he sings.” ~Robert Benchley

You’ll understand that music is a thing that can express you and your thoughts. Singing may help you bring your spirit up. Singing makes you sing when you’re happy and when you’re sad. Music is passionate and emotional. Music makes you fly to your heart. I enjoy music and love to listen and sing through the melody of my heart. “Music is a friend of labor for it lightens the task by refreshing the nerves and spirit of the worker.” ~William

Music is a five letter word that could mean so much to one person, while meaning so little to somebody else. To me, music is where I flourish; music is where I learn to find myself and learn to understand others. I get so lost in music, both listening and playing, that I find myself absent from my own reality for hours on end. Listening to music is mesmerizing, in a sense, in which I always find myself discovering new and intriguing genres, sounds and musicians. Music is so captivating to me because there is always something new and exciting to find; nothing is ever the same. For instance, nobody has the same exact voice while singing or the same exact style of bass playing. Similarly, there are always different renditions of songs to play on various different instruments. Being both a piano player and a guitar player, learning how to perform a song and perfecting it is an incredibly fulfilling feeling, in the least. Another reason that music is easily entrapping to me is because it is encompassed with deeper, unknown meaning. I take a passionate interest in the backstory of bands, their members and the significance of their lyrics. Autobiographies unveiling information about band members, such as Journals by Kurt…

“A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.” – Maya Angelo. Singing honestly makes me forget everything that I think about daily, especially when I’m truly singing I feel the happiest that I believe I ever could. I believe that even if you think you can’t sing well, you should sing anyways because it’s the one thing in the world that everyone agrees on. Not the language, but the music notes, the counting and the lettering is the same anywhere in the world you go. That way we can all sing together. Singing releases my anger, my hurt, and my sadness and filters me. Music takes me to my own world and I always have a song in my head. Music has had a huge influence on my life and it will continue to influence the things I do and the decisions I make.…
