How to Apply Makeup
How to Apply Makeup

In this essay you will learn how to apply make-up and contour your face in order to give one area depth or to enhance it. The first thing you will have to do is tie your hair up or back so it is out of your face. You should wash your face with warm water and an exfoliator, rinse your face, and then splash your face with cold water it will close your pores. Closing your pores makes it less prone to getting acne from the makeup you are about to use. After you finish you should apply a toner. This will even out your skin tone and moisture balance. Let that dry. Then you must apply a base, or a foundation to even out your complexions color. Be sure to use a make-up sponge. Using your fingers to rub it in your face may leave streaks. Once you have applied your base you can apply an eye shadow. Nature colors like tans and beige are good light reflectors, and tend to brighten up your eyes. Then choose a color a little darker than the color you used on your lid. Apply it to the crease of your lid, making a window wiper motion inwards toward your nose. Blend very well with a small angled brush so they blend together evenly. Next step is to contour your cheek bones. This is to make your face appear slimmer. You’re going to want a blush brush. Choose a tan color one to two shades darker than your base color. Make sure to tap the excess powder off before you apply it. Apply from your temple to your cheek bone around the crease of your mouth, and under your jaw bone. This will enhance your jaw line. Now take a clear unused blush brush, and go over what you just did. Make sure you blend with the brush really good. Now we move back to your eyes. Apply a line of black eyeliner, or whatever color you would like to your top lid. Make sure it is the closest to your lash line as possible. After you are done with that, apply a thin coat of mascara to your lashes. By the time you’re done, your face should be even in tone, and your eyes

Use soft natural colors on eyes, cheeks, and lips. Browns, pinks and neutral are all appropriate choices. We do require that you wear mascara and lipstick or gloss. Remember, you never know when there will be a camera in your face. Do not clump your eyelashes with mascara. One to two coats of most mascara is more than enough. Wear lipstick or gloss, making sure to refresh the application throughout the day as needed. Wear a light blush for day and deepen the color for evening. Be sure to blend all makeup. When applied, makeup shouldn't appear as if you are wearing a mask. Orange faces and necks that appear to be a different color are not…

Honestly, makeup tutorials take a bunch of practice. I have spent a great deal of time watching makeup tutorials on how to contour and fill in my eyebrows, but when I actually do it, I look like a clown. Watching hundreds of youtubers, researching the perfect arch, and searching the web for the highest rating product will only get you so far. When trying makeup tutorials, research will definitely help, but trial and error is the way to…

First off choose a proper eye shadow color. This can be a little tricky especially if you are not familiar with the tones and hues that would flatter your face. Earth tones work for any skin type and if your skin tone is on the warmer side, beiges, gelds and browns are your best bets. Pretty much the same rule applies to people with cooler skin tones. The cool colors would include the grays and the blues. But remember, if you have dark circles beneath your eyes do not use dark eye shadows as doing so would only bring attention to the dark circles giving you a raccoon-like look. These are just simple eye make up tips for choosing a color that's perfect for you.…

You may proceed to apply to foundation to your face after you have let your face air-dry. Whether you choose to do either bake or white-out, you must not wear a color that is either too light or dark. After your face is covered in the best invention since toilet paper,…

    My Writing Capabilities

The other day I was getting perked up to go out with some friends and as most seventeen year olds I was caking on the makeup and blending my eyeshadow, I looked at myself and grunted. I became irate because my look was not turning out well. Angrily, I flung my brush towards the ground and I kept glaring at myself asking where I’d gone wrong. It took a second but, I had an epiphany, kind of like when you get older and you realize the amount of family drama you had been oblivious too for so long, it hit me like a slap to my caked up face. My mind flashed back to my freshmen year when I had not even an iota of how to draw on my eyebrows and I chuckled because I’d realized how far my skillset had evolved since then. I continued blending, and I found myself reminiscing on a time in my life when I absolutely despised the way I looked and my “talentless” self. Makeup became an outlet for me; it was what set me apart from the other girls. For most people it isn’t anything remotely important but, I became immersed in a community of people who understood where I was coming from. There came a time when I began to look at makeup as an art form. My mom always says how she doesn’t understand my obsession but, what she doesn’t know is how wearing sparkly gold eyelids…
