How Have Mobile Phones Changed Over Time
Mobile phones have changed through time starting with the size of the phone, then the technological advances, and finally the usage of the phone. Even though the purpose of the phone has not changed, which is to call people, the phone itself has changed in many ways.
The first reason on how mobile phones have changed over time is the size of the phone. In 1190, Martin Cooper invented the first mobile phone called the Motorola Dynamic 8000X. The phone was about the length of a non-sharpened pencil and the width of a 2 inch eraser. It was 1 inch thick and was very bulky to hold, almost like an oversized landline phone. The next few models were smaller by the year until year 2000 when they began to make smartphones. These smartphones were thinner, wider, and were a bit larger than year 2000 phones. Between 1990 and 2016, the mobile phone has been huge in size, small in size, and medium in size throughout the years.
The second reason on how mobile phones have changed over time is the technological advances made on the phones. As stated before, the first mobile phone called the Motorola Dynamic 8000X had no apps, no games, no music, and no texting.
