Hiv Persuasive Speech
I don’t know it is necessary to take the pill that people with HIV take to fight the virus because there might be side effects for long term use. I feel like they need to talk about their relationship and what they really want regarding to sexual activity. I think taking the pill without her boyfriend know is not a good thing even she doesn’t know what her boyfriend does when she is not around. It is better for them to talk about it and find out alternative way to practice safe sex like using condom or openly talk about it. I think it will give hope to people to believe that pill is

She needs to understand that her health is very important and that counseling sessions should be considered immediately. She should take into consideration that not getting the proper care could also harm her unborn child. Some parenting classes should be given to Michelle also for pregnant women coping with HIV. Michelle not wanting her family informed about her being HIV positive it could cause them to be unaware of the situation and prevent necessary services to be given to the family as a whole. By telling her family she could use them as a resource and they can help her cope with the issue of her having HIV. Michelle should also try to find the unborn child father (Nick), and let him know about her diagnosis so he can be aware and be tested as well. This could cause another issue and concern; therefore the whole family should be involved in receiving counseling. Some issues in the community will be her not having stable housing and she could possibly have to move to a shelter, which could change where she would be staying and distances from place to place. Michelle would also need drug treatment classes in order to prevent her from using drugs around Joshua. She would need stable income for transportation to get around to…

However being a dystopian society, the downside of the pill was that people were coerced into taking it and it replaced human emotion which wouldn’t be the case in a democratic government like the United States with all the freedoms it brings. If there is a possibility of widespread usage and consumption of a drug like this as completely optional, it might just be able to help increase the work in individuals who want to take it and won’t lose any of their free…

    The Birth Control Pill

The main purpose of the birth control pill is to simply give women a chance to put childbearing life on hold and do what they wish to do ranging from expressing their sexual freedom, gaining college education, establishing their career, and so on forth. I don’t think that anybody would have thought of how much of the effect that the birth control pill influenced the society under social, economic, and political manners (Cohen, 2005). A new sense of sexual freedom lead to acceptable hookup culture; women are extending their potentials by attending universities; women are slowly narrowing the gender ratio in male-dominated college majors; women are now being equally qualified to men in career field. Even though, the birth control pill causes various changes in the society for women. It has also brightened the negative light within the society, which is gender inequality. Thankfully, today’s generation is bringing the gender inequality to awareness and makes people realize that men are now also being pressured to be part of the social norm. I hope that for the future generations, the society will become more acceptable towards to both males and females despite of their career/personal backgrounds and gender as well. We must bring gender equality fully into the American and international…

I like how you admit that prior to being educated about primary prevention, you were skeptical about vaccinations. As healthcare providers, we understand the importance of primary prevention. Our training and research is telling us that vaccines are safe and effective, but the public doesn’t have our training. Public skepticism comes from several anti-vaccination campaigns which claim that vaccines contain dangerous additives, promote allergies, and are linked to autism and brain injury. In addition, a lot of people mistrust government sources and pharmaceutical companies. Thus, as primary care providers, we have our work cut out for us. All we can do is to provide education and support. Ultimately, the decisions are up to the patients. Sometimes…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…
