They were one of the countries that let women play soccer. It was until they lifted the ban for woman to play soccer. In 1971 the ban was lifted (History Cooperative et al). Soccer has been around in America for over 200 years. It was brought over by English colonists, played more formally and rather brutally by colleges starting in the mid-1800s (Princeton and Rutgers played an inaugural intercollegiate match in 1869), and then given strong impetus, at least in our northeastern urban areas, by the waves of immigrants who brought their culture, including soccer, with them.…

For this first assignment, I chose to focus my outline on the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). I have a real passion for the sport of soccer and I also used to play this sport when I was little throughout my childhood. I feel that the sport of soccer is still growing here in the United States. I feel that the United States Soccer Federation as a whole has done a great job of implementing and competing with other sports in America. The reason for the increasing popularity of the sport in this country is the overall team aspect and limited physicality. Also, the barriers for entry into the sport are pretty low compared to other. Not much a participant needs other than a pair of cleats and a ball. Now, the USSF’s website does a good…

Soccer started in December 1863 in Britain and they used to call "Football". Many people would ask that when the first soccer match was and who was the organization and who invented the game of soccer. There are many arguments that some people saying that soccer starts at England and some saying China was the country where soccer was started. In my opinion, I was always believing that soccer did start in England but after my research, I found out that actually China and Japan are the first countries where they played with the ball and from there get the idea. According to todayIfound.com. "The earliest known record of a Soccer-like sport was in 1004 B.C. in Japan. There are also many references to Soccer-like sports in 50 B.C. China, even being played between teams from China and Japan. The Romans also played several types of Football games, including some that resembled Soccer". But I still saying that soccer was invested in England because when China and Japan start soccer was totally different Idea than the real soccer game. I agree that they are the first who start to kick the…

The game of soccer has changed a lot since it started. The game soccer originated in England in 1000, but some people believe it may have started before the 19th century, with the Ancient Romans, Greeks, and Chinese. In England, towns and villages would play against each other, half of the village on one side and the other half on the other side. The object was to get the ball into the other villages territory. Sometimes the “ball” would be a pig’s bladder or the skull of an enemy. The game got very violent very soon and lots of kings tried to ban soccer, but they always failed, because kicking and dribbling a ball around is just too much fun. Then, King Edward the Second, in 1314, threatened to throw anyone playing soccer in jail or even kill them because the game was too violent. But, even this did not work. People like kicking a ball into a goal too much, it was fun and it felt good.…
