United States Soccer Federation Essay
For this first assignment, I chose to focus my outline on the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). I have a real passion for the sport of soccer and I also used to play this sport when I was little throughout my childhood. I feel that the sport of soccer is still growing here in the United States. I feel that the United States Soccer Federation as a whole has done a great job of implementing and competing with other sports in America. The reason for the increasing popularity of the sport in this country is the overall team aspect and limited physicality. Also, the barriers for entry into the sport are pretty low compared to other. Not much a participant needs other than a pair of cleats and a ball. Now, the USSF’s website does a good …show more content…
There is a tab on the left hand side of the website that easily guides the user to whatever team they desire. These teams include the U.S. Men’s National Team, the Women’s National Team, and age’s groups from U-23 to U-14. Also, the United States Soccer Federation also comprises of beach soccer, futsal, and Paralympics Soccer, which are three soccer-type variations of the sport. The United States Soccer Federation’s website does a good job of including all forms of the sport under their entire organization. Many of the information on the website also include up-to-date information on the current U.S. Men’s National Team and their recent results. Also available are the full schedule and tickets for sale for the upcoming USMNT matches. There is also something called the Supporter’s Club, otherwise known as the American Outlaws. The Supporter’s Club is a place or the die-hard USMNT fan. The USMNT Supporter’s Club is a place for U.S. soccer fans to gather together to support one team, one nation. Last but not least, the USSF’s website includes an extensive team apparel store. The amount of apparel is staggering, but the website breaks it all down by section and gender as well. Some of these apparel sections on the website

women’s soccer in contrast to men’s soccer. The technique of size is utilised to show the U.S. women’s team as bigger and taller. The dominant image of the U.S. women’s soccer team being larger indicates that the women's team is larger than the men's and incites the audience to require more attention from the Soccer Federation to the female soccer team. The U.S women’s soccer ball is furthermore, taller in size and indicates it is extensively more successful than the U.S men's soccer team. Through this, the author depicts to the audience by size and height the importance and success of women’s soccer; by emphasising the success of women’s soccer to encourage a change from the Soccer…

The Good Samaritan sports award. Given to one athlete that dominates during play, and gives back on the street. It is sometimes considered the greatest honor in sports. I believe that Stephen Curry should win the Good Samaritan sports award, not Zach Randolph. Stephen Curry is coming off multiple record-breaking seasons with the Golden State Warriors, and he teamed up with Nothing but Nets to help fight malaria in a Tanzania, a country in eastern Africa.…

Ever since kicking my first soccer ball during Kinder Kicks, soccer has become a fundamental aspect of my life. Not only have I been playing the sport since then, but the sport has also influenced me beyond solely playing it. It is the culture surrounding the game as well. It is waking up early every Saturday morning to watch the Liverpool game, or getting ready to cheer on the New England Revolution in Gillette Stadium in the evenings. Soccer has been embedded everywhere in my life, from the posters on my bedroom walls to the jerseys that continue to accumulate on my closet floor. This passion has driven me to share the sport with as many as I can. With the Natick Soccer Organization, I have been organizing tournaments for U10 and U14 boys…

My nearly 12 year soccer career was tragically ended by a 3 inch deep ditch. As i practiced my long throws from the edge of the 18 yard box, my adidas-clad foot landed in the nefarious hole. And coming from a family with tragically weak knees, all it took was a pivot on uneven ground to send my patella to the right side of the socket. As I looked down at my leg, the realization had dawned on me that my soccer playing career would soon be over.…

Soccer is rapidly becoming more popular in high schools. Some people believe that soccer will surpass football as the main sport in most schools within a few years. There are a few reasons backing the sport’s rapid growth. Some of the increase can be attributed to the noticeable growth of certain ethnic populations in which soccer is the primary athletic activity and spectator sport. Schools see the higher interest and add soccer to their roster of sports. This in turns leads more kids to playing, and even more spectators and then leading them getting further involved with the sport. Now, more than ever before a huge percentage of students from all different age groups and all different demographic backgrounds are playing youth soccer. A generation raised on soccer will most certainly aid in the popularity of soccer in the US. Schools also see it as a source of additional revenue from the sponsorships to the cost of admission to events. Speaking on the subject of money, soccer is also an inexpensive sport to play. More and more Americans are facing financial struggle and playing soccer is simply more economical than just about any other sport. The lower cost of equipment reduces the overall cost of playing soccer recreationally and competitively. Football, for example is an extremely expensive sport and many are finding that the cost is not worth the benefit. This is true at many small colleges and universities who have chosen not to have football teams due to the tremendous cost. In its place, soccer has the opportunity to become the most popular sport in many communities. The equipment is considerably cheaper to that of football’s…

I remember when I was five, I would always attend my step sister’s soccer games during the weekend while at my dad’s. I would always love to watch but I was more of a hands on person. I have always wanted to play soccer but unfortunately it was harder to do for a kid, like me, when I had divorced parents that lived 40 minutes away from each other. It was so hard because usually when it came to soccer, the games would be during the weekend and practices would be a few days during the week. Finally, after my sophomore year I decided to try again and play for my school.…

One of my challenges was in my Sophomore year when I didn't make the varsity team because I was not in good condition. The other challenge happen in my junior year when I got injured a week before the championship game and I had to recover before the game. When I was a sophomore I tried out for the varsity soccer team at my school but I did not make it, because I was not at that level. Some of the reason I did not make it were ,because I was overweight, slow, not strong enough and would put too much pressure on myself so I was not able to complete a pass or a shot. Those were the things I needed to work on so I could become a better soccer player. I was really upset…

As a four sport athlete (football, hockey, baseball, and track), I have endured my ups and downs with sports teams, but nothing compares to the adversity, leadership, and courage I had to muster up in the 2015 football season. The 2015 season looked bright for the hilltoppers, coming off three successful seasons, where I started and helped our football team win many games. I was a co-captain my Junior year and all-conference, so I was really looking forward to taking the reigns and becoming the true leader of our football team. However, the season was a disaster on paper at best. We went 0-9 and competed at a high level in 3 of those games. The day of our fourth football game, only 30 minutes prior to getting on the bus, my stomach started…
