Small businesses in the United States are on the rise, and Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton, has taken this opportunity to win over the hearts of small business owners and entrepreneurs across the United States by expounding on her proposal to help small businesses succeed. According to the Augusta Press in the article “Hillary Clinton Releases Small Business Plan” (Graham, 2016), Clintons devotion to implement change for small businesses derives from her childhood when her father ran a drapery business in Chicago, as well as, working side by side with small business leaders throughout her career. Some of Clintons proposals to help small business include; improving access to financing, providing tax relief and simplifying the paperwork simplification for small businesses; incentivize more health care benefits for small businesses and their employees; ensure the federal government is more responsive to small businesses; and, make it easier to fight back when …show more content…
There are several steps, rules, regulations, and licensing requirements that have to be completed in order to open a business in the United States. According to the article, Hillary Clinton Will Make Life Easier for Small Business at Every Step of the Way (Clinton, 2016), Clinton discusses the complexity of starting a business in the United states verses other countries such as, Canada and Denmark, and she feels the process of starting a business, in the United States, should not be so arduous. Clinton plans to ease this burden by implementing federal funding to states who are willing to make starting a business easier. In addition, Clinton plans to work with states to standardize licensing requirements to start businesses, and she intends to make technical assistance and resources available to help determine which license’s serve the good of the public and impose burdens to entrepreneurs and workers (Clinton,
