Using complete sentences, answer each of the following questions:
1. Which marksmanship position do you prefer? Why? I prefer standing although it is considered the least steady; however it honestly is the most comfortable.
2. Explain how the other three marksmanship positions influence your comfort and steadiness of shot placement? The prone position is laying down and some guns I shoot are larger than others so this isn’t all too comfortable for me, it says in the lesson that it is the steadiest and it doesn’t give me great shot placement. Kneeling makes my knees hurt and gives me a better than prone position shot placement. Sitting can be comfortable depending on where you are at, I definitely do not feel steady in a sitting position shooting especially shooting a gun with a recoil.
3. How do you know which eye is your dominant or master eye?
It is the one that doesn’t make the image move when you close it. You can use your hand hole like the lesson demonstrates.
4. What are three safety guidelines every hunter should follow when handling a firearm?
A. A hunter should always point the muzzle end of the gun to a place where there are no people or houses around.
B. A hunter should empty his or her firearm before crossing a fence.
C. A hunter should bring his/her weapons up into a treestands.

The intense bond between father and son is full of subtle meanings and inferred emotions, but this bond remains strong nevertheless. This relationship has been examined time and time again, but Trumbo sheds new light on it when he focuses on the particular relationship of Joe and his father in “Johnny Got His Gun”. This passage looks at the significance of the annual fishing trip they take and the careful way in which they approach each other. When Joe’s friend Bill Harper decides to come to this sacred fishing event, the equilibrium of the whole relationship is questioned. Trumbo combines the use of perspective, syntax, and specific selection of detail in order to depict the precarious balance of their father-son relationship during the confusing…

BOOM! Then, dead silence. The water ripples as the smell of gun powder fills the air. The victim is seen helpless by the hunter. Now if this is what sounds like a thrill to you, duck hunting is the way to go. If someone were to ask me what my favorite hobby is, I would have to say duck hunting in North Dakota. Some may not consider it a hobby because I only duck hunt four days a year, but I still do. I also duck hunt behind our house on Trident Lake another three to ten days a year. Duck hunting is very different from other types of hunting. Usually hunters have to be still and quiet when deer and turkey hunting. When duck hunting, a necessity is to keep the eyes down. It doesn’t matter if talking or moving is involved, as long as the duck can’t see the hunter’s eyes.…
