Grand Strategy for India

INTRODUCTION

India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters.
I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.
I shall always strive to be worthy of it.
I shall give my parents, teachers and all elders respect and treat everyone with courtesy.
To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well-being and prosperity alone lies my happiness.

To write about this subject is like romancing with India. There is so much to dream about India; so much to cherish, so much to cheer, so much to hate and so much to desire about it. The issue is what should be penned and what should be omitted. This is a very emotional topic, too close to my heart.
I love my India and want it to be the best in the world. It has the talent and capability. The state has constantly deteriorated in the last six decades. The downfall is due to low quality, incompetent and corrupt leadership, unaccountable, equally corrupt bureaucracy and ineffective judiciary unable to fulfil people’s aspirations resulting in unparalleled corruption and lawlessness. Drastic changes are necessary to make systems vibrant and responsive to make it an India of every Indian’s dreams.
India is an ancient country but a young nation and we, Indians are united and are proud of our rich culture and rich heritage, proud of secular democracy, proud of its vastness, its diversity and proud of its rivers, mountains, plains, plateaus and deserts. So, here I am dreaming about India, my motherland that has given me so much that I will forever remain in her debt.
Like Gandhiji, I also dream of India where there will be no inequality, poverty, social injustice, illiteracy, gender discrimination, social oppression, corruption, casteism and communalism and people will have an improved and good quality of life. We need to brainstorm on our weaknesses and think ways to eradicate these areas of darkness in the glowing splendour of our country.

My family is oriented by the Indian culture and lifestyle. In India, Kerala (my home State), is the first State to achieve 100% literacy. It is known for its natural beauty and nicknamed as God’s own country. India has a population of 1.18 billion (April 2010 Estimate) and 29 main languages. Life in my birth country (India) is fascinating as people from various different communities, ethnic and language groups, and religious traditions live together in unity. Indian population is polygenetic and is an amazing amalgamation of various races and cultures. The cultural anthropological studies reveal the fact that there are over 4000 ethnic groups and 1635 dialects in India.…

India, our motherland, has given us a lot to be proud of and we all take pride in being Indians but how many of us would refuse a chance to go to a country like the USA or UK or Australia? We even consider a job or higher education in China, Japan or Singapore as a great achievement. So are we really proud of India? So all these visions are to make us Indians feel proud about our country. I too agree to it but I doubt whether the vision we are working towards will help in making us proud. We will be proud to see people in US and UK queuing up to grab opportunities to work or study in India. We will be proud to see people migrating to India just as we are doing today to their countries. We will be proud to see people copying India and its culture like we are doing their’s. But for all these visions to become a reality we’ll have to search within India. We’ll have to know our own strengths instead of searching for more weaknesses. India has given its contributions in almost fields.…
