Good Name Vs Appearance Research
I personally believe that a good name is more important than the truth in the appearance aspect of it. Your appearance can determine a lot of things. For example, if you are a lazy person at heart but you’re working to fix it you wouldn’t want your interviewer to know that you’re lazy. The truth could cost you a job just because you havn’t gotten it together yet. In my case, i dress in jeans and a hoodie everyday, but if i were to go to a job interview or visit someone who’s very respectable i would put on some nicer looking clothes.
If you are not the best at being a “go get em” kind of person that wouldn't be something you would want your future employer to know. You would want him to see that you’re outgoing enough to get whatever job you’re applying for done. If you’ve had a lazy streak in the past you definitely wouldn't want whoever you’re trying to go to work for to know that.

Which is a pair of black shoes, tight jeans, and dark hoodie, you could catch a lot of stereotype. So if i were to go to a job interview the truth of what i really wear wouldn’t be acceptable. I would dress in a nice pair of shoes with khakis and a button up shirt.
So in conclusion, and in my opinion a good name can be much more important than the truth. Your “name” can determine people's first impressions of you which can either make or break

You also only have one chance to make that name correspond with positive reactions versus being shone in a negative light. Your name is your legacy, your pride, and your future. John Proctor knows this, and is very adamant in keeping his good name specifically in this quote from The Crucible, “ Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and sign myself to lies! Because I am not worth the dust on the feet of them that hang! How may I live without my name? I have given you my soul; leave me my name!” (Act IV; 284-290) In a way, I can understand how people may view this argument differently. Life is important, without it you couldn’t have built up or torn down your name and identity. But my counter-argument to this would be that there’s no point to life if you have a horrible name and…

In The Handmaids Tell this happens to almost everyone. Even the main character never reveals her real name, but instead she only goes by her title, Offred (Atwood 305). Going by titles allows the world they live in to operate, because it limits the value that people would place upon one another if they formed a personal relationship. The titles allow everyone to become their title and to be valued as that title.. Offred realizes the true power of a name and she doesn’t share it with anyone besides Nick (Atwood280).…

Physical appearance conveys much about a candidate’s personality and professionalism, so you should dress in a manner that makes a good first impression in an interview. A good guideline is to dress conservatively. Men, for instance, should avoid casual clothes such as khakis and polo shirts. Instead—even if for what seems to be a company with a casual work…

No, I do not think a good name is more important than the truth. If anything the truth will come out sooner or later and that could change your name and how people see you. This could be something as meaningful as being names after your parents, or as simple as “Neveah,” heaven spelled backwards. In the essay, “Name Narrative: A Tool for Examining and Cultivating Identity” it expresses, “From their inception, names are embedded with meaning and coded with identity, and over time, they become layered with nuance and memory” (Montoya, Vasquez, and Martinez 114). One’s name is primarily how they are identify. A name is vital to almost every aspect of life, from your first day on earth until your last. Upon meeting someone new they do not remember the pair of earrings one was wearing, but rather one’s name. Something that is likely made out to sound remarkably simple, is the very thing most could be judged for or something that denies you a job. A name is something that sticks and is one’s primary…

Although it may seem vain, appearance is very important to many employers when searching for employees of all levels. Many search for a specific type of “look,” and will often offer a higher salary to those who fit within their ideal appearance. For instance, what one wears to an interview could affect if she receives a job placement or not. Biases like this are part of the reason for the large pay gap between women.…

A person’s identity will stay with them throughout their whole life and will provide many important purposes. Everyone has their own identity, it is what they are known as or known for. Appearance is very important. Your clothes should be suitable for the situation. For example, if you wear casual clothes in a meeting with your partners, they will think that you are not serious about working with them, or you don’t respect them. Besides, clothes can demonstrate your characteristic. People often like the one with neat clothes than a sloven one.…
