1. Identify two of your long-term education or career goals. Your goals may be career oriented, academic, or personal in nature. (“I will become the head of my company’s graphics department” is an example of a long-term goal.)

I will advance within my company to become a Human Resource Generalist (HRG)
I will advance within my company to become a Human Resource Manager

2. Break these two long-term goals into several short-term goals that you hope to accomplish within a relatively short time. (“I will learn how to use my company’s new graphics software” is one short-term goal that would need to be accomplished before someone could become the head of a graphics department.)

I will advance within my company to become a Human Resource Generalist (HRG)

• I will learn how to use the many different database systems to further improve my human resources skills
• I will enroll in my companies mentoring program and shadow with and experienced HRG to gain experience with daily HRG skills.
• I will enroll in seminars that are offered by the HR organization to further improve my human resources skills I will advance within my company to become a Human Resource Manager.

• I will utilize my HR experiences as a HRG to carry me to management role.
• I will enroll in my companies mentoring program and shadow with and experienced executive to gain experience with daily management skills
• To further advance my career I will enrolled in MBA program
