INTRODUCTION

A. Background of the study Gliricidia sepium is a kind of tree common in the community. People use it for fuel unaware of its value as medicinal plant. The idea that gliricidia sepium leaf extract maybe effective treatment for mange came from the fact that smoke of burned dry leaves cause of death of mosquitoes and other insects. Thus , the investigator thought of an experiment on the effects of gliricidia sepium leaf extracts on hogs mange particular to pigs.

B.STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM The purpose of the study is to answer the problem “How can Animal Mange can be Cured?” More specifically
It aimed to answer to following questions: 1. How can gliricidia sepium leaves be prepared? 2. How is it applied to the effect area? 3. What is the effect of the gliricidia sepium leaf extract to pigs with mange after days of application?

B. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY Gliricidia sepium tree is used for fuel by people not knowing of its other uses. A study will be conducted to find out the effect of gliricidia sepuim leaves extract on hogs with mange. Result of this study will be useful to people to substitute of the purchase of commercialized and expensive medicine for animal mange. It also improves hog production and the quality of pork.

D.SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS This study was conducted at Talogtog, Mangaldan, Pangasinan. It is limited to the effect of glicidia sepium leaf extract for animal mange particular to pigs.

New tissue will try to replace the scarred tissue which causes the tissue in the lung to become thick and stiff. The tissue in the lung makes it harder for oxygen to go through the walls of the air sac (http://www.lung). To provide evidence that Trigonella foenum-graecum possesses anti-inflammatory property, Chemico-Biological Interactions conducted a research. The experiment involved using glycosides based standardized fenugreek seed extract (SFSE-G) and evaluate the interaction with bleomycin (BLM) in laboratory rats. Each rat group was induced to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis by a single injection, followed by either SFSE-G in different quantities (5, 10, 20, or 40 milligrams per kilogram), or methylprednisolone (10 milligrams per kilogram) and then observed after 14 and 28 days of the drug treatment. The results of this experiment were that glycosides based standardized fenugreek seed extract (SFSE-G) administered in 20 and 40 milligrams per kilograms both showed the prevention of bleomycin alterations in body weight, lung function, and others. There was an increase in peripheral blood oxygen after glycosides based standardized fenugreek seed extract was used. Not only that but there was a reduction in lung 5-HT level by this treatment. Apoptosis, or the death of a cell controlled to the growth and development of a system were significant. All of these results provide evidence to suggest that…

Source: Leihana C. TaguiamAbstract:Fungi are one-celled organisms that cause discomfort and health risks in living organisms. The purpose of this study is to control the growth of fungal pathogens. Aspergillus flavus, Penicillum specie and Curvularia specie. By using pure extract of lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus), Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) and 50/50 combination of both. The study focuses in determining which of the three treatments will inhibit specific fungi. After being tested and identified which among of the three treatments is the best, we suggested using it as an additive in cosmetics and medicine.In-vitro testing comprised the methods of identifying the anti-fungal property of the treatments. From the collection of plant samples to reading and analyzing of data, fungus growth took for four days then the treatment assignment was conducted. The fungi must have similar growth rate to have accurate results. Results showed that pure extract of Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) is the only treatment that controls the growth of Aspergillus flavus. The two other treatments failed to inhibit all three fungal pathogens. Pure extract of Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) can be used as an additive to some cosmetics and medicine because of its anti-fungal property against Aspergillus flavus. Adjustments of concentrations should be conducted upon Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) to prove the effectiveness and to test its suitability as a moisturizer. Further experimentation may also identify the active component of Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus) that makes it as an anti-fungal against Aspergillus flavus. Future researchers can use the pure Lemon grass extract (Cymbopogon citratus) as an additive to cosmetics and develop this to…

conophorum displayed no appreciable change in physical activity and no apparent toxicity symptoms or mortality up to 24 hours post treatment, indicating that the LD50 of the aqueous extract of the plant was found to be greater than 3500 mg/kg, which may be accepted as safe [15]. Similar observations have been reported by Dahanukaret. al. [26] for ethanolic extract of Newbouldialaevisleaf (5400 mg/kg), ethanolic extracts of Ailanthus excelsa(1000 mg/kg), Toddaliaasiatica(350 mg/kg) and Araucaria bidwilli(250 mg/kg).All the rats used for the sub-chronic toxicity study appeared normal before, during and after the treatment. Mortality was not observed at any of the dose levels used in this study. There is a positive effect of T. conophorum extract on the weight status of the test rats. The weights of rats given the plant extract in all groups remained higher in contrast to those rats not given the plant extract (control group) at the end of the 28 days with exception of 500 and 1000 mg/kg groups which showed a non-significant reduction during the first week. Thisshowed that the physical status of the rats were better. So the plant extract did not impose any acute fluid loss, proteolysis and lipolysis on the test rats and therefore the rats had no great loss in body weight [26].We also compared the feeding patterns of control group with those groups treated with the extract and…

Angiogenesis is the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. The field of angiogenesis has grown enormously in the past 30 years, with only 40 papers published in 1980 and nearly 6000 in 2010. Why do you think angiogenesis research grew so fast? Studies show that angiogenic therapies provide a potential to conquer cancer, heart diseases, and more than 70 of life’s most threatening medical conditions. We all know that tumor can really be a serious thing for an embryo.…

According to H. J. Croxx, when microscopists first began to use stains in the sixties and seventies, the demand for dyes for this purpose was naturally too small to justify a special source of supply. They therefore had to make use of textile dyes, which were then very crude and were not constant in their composition. Plant-based dyes such as wood, indigo, saffron, and madder were raised commercially and were important trade goods in the economies of Asia and Europe. Across Asia and Africa, patterned fabrics were produced using resist dyeing techniques to control the absorption of color in piece-dyed cloth. Dyes from the New World such as cochineal and logwood were brought to Europe by the Spanish treasure fleets, and the dyestuffs of Europe were carried by colonists to America.…
